TTC After a Loss

November Angels Check in (December 1, 2014)

**November Angels Check In (November 1, 2014)**

This is a weekly check-in for those who have lost an angel with a November EDD. If you would like to be added to our group, please reply to this message with your EDD and date and stage of loss. Please also tell us a little bit about yourself and your TTCAL journey so far. Those with loss dates in November are also welcome. As time goes on, it is only to be expected that there will be graduates, which means that there will at times be BFPs listed here. On weeks when we do have a BFP to celebrate, you’ll see a warning at the top of the page, which is provided so you’ll have the option of scrolling past the announcement if you need to. If you do get your BFP, please PM me so that we can congratulate you appropriately in the next check-in.

General Updates: How are you doing? Any appointments or other updates you’d like to share?

Shout outs: If you aren't listed, we haven’t heard from you for a week or two. Please jump in!

Well ladies, it is officially December and we made it through the dreaded November.

@Nikolie93 How is the charting going?  Looks like you have a pretty textbook cycle which is nice.  I hope that hosting wasn't too stressful.
@LittlemrsW Were you able to get the vanity finished or did the holiday take over?  I think you should be able to get on DH's insurance whenever you need since loosing your job/insurance should be a qualifying even and you shouldn't need to wait for open enrollment.  I have also noticed that the check-in is getting smaller.
@MrsKush1014 and @McSarah1104 How was your week?
@Aswedishbee I hope not temping is helping with your stress.  How was your birthday dinner?

QOTW: What kind of bag/purse do you carry?  Big, small, full of all kinds of things?  Do you change it with your outfits?

Re: November Angels Check in (December 1, 2014)

  • AFM: I got woken up at 4 am with a work phone call and couldn't go back to sleep so decided to work on this checkin.  I am off call at 7 am so I can take a nap later while H is at work hopefully.
I am testing out my trigger which is driving me insane and the progesterone is making my boobs so sore and has been since a few days after I started it.  I think I am happy with my decision to work over the holiday so I couldn't be roped into celebrating if I didn't feel like it.

QOTW: Most of the time I just carry a wristlet with phone, ID, credit cards and money.

    Happy December, ladies ...

@tlc35 :: I'm glad that you're happy with your decision to work last weekend and sore boobs are the worst b/c there's nothing you can really do to make them feel better. Hope you have lots of soft camis!

AFM: I do feel a little less stressed out since I dropped the thermometer into my bathroom drawer, but occasionally I find myself thinking about it - crazy, I know. I'm at CD13 and yesterday got a peak reading on my monitor. Another month of low to peak ... I think I might not be peeing on it consistently each morning. Next month I will have to try peeing in a cup and dipping the stick into it and see if that solves it. I will move forward as if yesterday's reading was a high and try to do a lot of BD in the next 4 days, which is easier said than done thanks to hubs' work sked this week. Good news is we get to visit our pup tonight and confirm when we get to bring her home (I think in 2 weeks)!!

QOTW: I usually only change my purses for "going out" nights b/c my bags tend to be on the larger size. I'm not even a mother yet and I can play "Whats the strangest thing in your purse" game LOL

  • Hi Ladies!

Hope you guys had a good weekend, and at least a few cocktails in honor of Tday (even if you didn't really feel like celebrating @tlc35

I got AF on Saturday, right on schedule, which is odd considering it was a MMC, so my body could have easily been all out of whack.

I did my day 3 blood work today, not sure what it is since I have never done this before, but should hear from them today.  I also had an ultrasound (yay, more things stuck up in there :-/ ) but the good news is, they said I have lots of folicles, 30 in the right and 21 on the left. The SA came back all normal, and from our original bloodwork, the only thing out of sorts was my vitamin D.  So all seems pretty well normal, no reasons for the repeated loss yet.   Will update when I hear back about the blood work.

QOTD: I have a couple of purses, but I rarely change out.  I carry a big wallet that I will take out if I need something small to take with me.  I will swap for a brown bag if I feel like I must, but usually I think my black bag matches fine, my coat is black.  I almost always swap to a lighter, more durable summer bag, because I always seem to end up somewhere outside where I need to put my bag on the ground.  I don't want to put a nice leather bag on the ground.

Carrying this one right now and it's about perfect, maybe 2 centimeters too small, but I'll take it! :-)

I like that purse.  I am glad that AF came on time and you have lots of follies.  Usually CD 3 BW is FSH, LH, E2, AMH, TSH and prolactin.

  • Hey @tlc35, thanks for the check in! I am glad that you are happy with your decision to work over the holiday's. Hopefully it wasn't too crazy for you! And sorry your boobs hurt. I find myself always touching mine when they hurt...which can be bad depending where I am lol

@aswedishbee You aren't crazy for thinking about the thermometer every once in a while. I just started temping last month and I would do the same if I stopped tomorrow! Awesome about the pup! What kind?? I can't wait to see :D

@McSarah1104 Happy to hear your body isn't out of whack. I was shocked when mine got right back on track right away as well. Good news on the follies too! I love the purse btw.

AFM: Charting is going ok but I have been a bit out of whack the last few days due to this upper respiratory infection. I haven't really slept in 4 nights as I wake up in horrible coughing fits. I only missed one day but my temp may be a bit skewed due to the erratic sleeping pattern. It seems to be pretty text book which doesn't shock me. I have always been pretty spot on and I feel very fortunate for that. Thanksgiving was pretty good, my mom was here so she helped me a lot since I was sick :)

QOTW- I tend to carry very large purses and I have no idea here that came from. I used to only carry tiny ones. My purse is like a black hole and it's so heavy. I really could use it as a weapon if need be lol.
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

  • @McSarah1104 :: Love the bag, and good news on the follies!

@tlc35 :: I'll definitely post an updated pic later ... everyone deserves a little puppy love!

  • @Nikolie93 :: Sickness like that is the worst! Definitely glad you got help from mom. Hoping you get better soon so you can get a solid chart reading. As for pup, she's a miniature Schnauzer and we named her Gizzy ("short" for Gizmo).

soooo - small update, I somehow missed the call from the dr's office, but she left a message and everything on my day 3 bloodwork is normal, but they were actually concerned about PCOS because I had so many follies.  I have polycystic ovaries (I guess judging by the number, it is a fact that I do) and that I would need to also have either unusual body hair or irregular cycles, neither of which I have.  This is so odd to me, I thought PCOS was cysts, not follicles and she seemed both concerned/questioning and totally nonchalant at the same time!

So odd!  Now I'm googling the hell out of PCOS, because i don't have either of the other identifiers (I don't have abnormal body hair, and my cyles are pretty spot-on) and I wonder what it means that my ovaries are polycystic if I don't have the other symptoms!?

ETA: the doctor in the room made it seem like that many follicles was a good thing, but now I am questioning.

  • Thanks for the check-in @tlc35.  Sorry you were woken up so early!

I'm sick today with a stomach bug, so I just wanted to drop in and say hello.  Going to go curl up on the sofa again.  Hope everyone made it through the holiday without a lot of drama.

  • @Nikolie93 and @MrsKush1014 I'm sorry you have been sick.

@McSarah1104 a cyst is basically a follicle that isn't acting right.  This explains it but is a bit of a technical read.
