Rock and Play Sleeper

So has anyone used one of these? I like that the head is lifted, because my one baby had bad reflux. I sold my bassinet after my last baby and need to get something. I am just not sure if this would be good for all night use and if it is safe for that? My 2 year old will still be in the crib, so that is out. Plus I really like them being right beside my bed when they are newborns...ok well for the first year. Lol!

Re: Rock and Play Sleeper

  • We used it with our last daughter. She was born a month early with severe reflux that actually caused apnea. She did very well sleeping in the rock & play for a couple months. I don't believe it is recommended for sleep, but it worked great for us.

  • my niece had one and used it all the time at first. when we baby sat her baby one night she brought it to use and it was great. so I ran out and found me one for our LO. I plan on setting it up in the living room so I don't have to take her back to her bed every time she falls asleep.

  • I had one for my daughter. I liked that it was smaller than a pack n play and would fit right beside my bed.  But she never really slept in it.  I liked that she was a little bit elevated because she had RSV when she was 7 weeks and that helped her breathe better. I also like how they're snug as little bugs in them because they're kind of cupped in the center of them.  But she didn't sleep through the night in it EVER.  She usually would only sleep for very short periods of time.

I sold mine and I think I'm just going to go with a regular pack n play this time around.

  • I had the snuggle bunny by fisher price, ( now might be monkey, etc:)it inclined enough for his reflux. He was a preemie, and I used it for months. Loved it using it again. He had no issues going from this to flat bed. It swings front to back, side to side and plays nature sounds and music. It also goes up to 25 lbs so longer than most bassinets and play paks!

  • We just got the Graco version of this thing (because we work for the company that owns Graco so we get a deal) and I like the concept a lot. My LO doesn't have reflux but she def likes sleeping in something cuddlier and a bit elevated in the head area, so far the bassinet and crb have been no-go. I love the idea of having something so portable. A lot of people I know in real life swear by the rock and play, I don't thing they were popular (maybe even not available) when I had my first a few years back.
  • I'm using it for my twins. They are sleeping in them at night in my room. So far so good.
