My back! My aching back!

Anyone else struggling with back pain? - Suggestions welcomed.

  • Yes. Back, hip, butt, rib and boob pain. Pretty much uncomfortable all over.

    Get a good pillow to sleep with, like a body pillow or a snoogle. Put a pillow between your knees while you sleep.

    I went to a chiropractor my first pregnancy and that was helpful. For some of it, like sciatic nerve pain, there really isn't much you can do other than get used to being uncomfortable. Get some Tylenol and hope for the best.

  • Yes everything is sore. Back, hips, legs, feet.
    Change positions if you sit a lot stand up strech, walk around. If you walk a lot sit or lay down.

  • Not related to me, but DH has had back problems recently. He started going to PT today. Google back stretches, and get your DH to massage your back with icy hot. If you're in agony, schedule to see a chiropractor.

  • Chiro and massage. Bonus points if the practitioner specializes in prenatal care. Also yoga for stretching and strengthening. If you don't want to take a class, google cat-cow poses and try those.

  • Two pulled muscles in my back for almost a week now.  I'm miserable.   I use my shower head on "massage" mode and blast that part of my back with hot water whenever I get a chance.  A heating pad has helped, too.  When DH wants something from me (i.e. sex) I make him give me a back rub first.  It helps.  Not a cure by any means as a week later I still can't comfortably pick DS up and sleep is sporadic, but it helps.

  • I'm having tons of pain. What helps me control it is sleeping with a pillow wedged behind my back and one between my knees.
    I also try to sit up straight when I am at work or at a dinner table and if I'm sitting in a comfy chair or couch putting a pillow behind my back. Basically having some back support all the time.
