QOTW: How was your Thanksgiving? Any memorable moments?

Hi Ladies,

I'm sorry! I know I've been a bad check-in Lead, but things have been crazy busy. We hosted Thanksgiving last week, and I've been in seminars since the week started. I hope you are all in good spirits.

Not much going on on the ttc spectrum. Had to get an infection cleared up which happened around the time of my O window, so I'm out for this cycle.

For me, life has been pretty crazy, but it's helped the time go by a little quicker for which I'm thankful. 13 days left until surgery, and the five days before surgery I will be doing a quick trip across the country (was supposed to be longer but had to cut short for the surgery, DH's work trip. I am so anxious for the surgery though, I really feel like my fertility is on the line, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

@Cheetara2 NO WORRIES! I'm sorry you had an infection, glad to hear that you are on the mend though!!

@LauraO11 I hear you on feeling anxious awaiting surgery! We're so close!! Glad to hear you have distractions though!

AFM: I'm half way done with both of my huge papers for my doctorate program, praying to get a lot done by early next week because my birthday is on 12/10 and I want to be able to celebrate! As of right now my surgery is scheduled for 12/12 but I still have not gotten my period from my October cancelled FET cycle! I took the 5 days of provera but nothing has happened yet. If AF shows it will be perfect timing for the surgery because my lining will be thin and I won't have to go on BCPs but if it doesn't show I think they will push the surgery back and who the heck knows when it will be scheduled now! I'm so freaking anxious about it.

QOTW: We hosted and it was crazy but I had a really great time!

I am currently on CD 24 (11 DPO). This is good because last month I only had a 20 day cycle before AF showed up (my cycles were normally 25-27 days before the MC). I'm hoping that this is our month! Otherwise nothing too exciting happening!

Thanksgiving was fun. We went to my in laws. The only exciting thing we did was we played Cards Against Humanity. If you've never heard of or played it, it's a pretty dirty game along the lines of Apples to Apples. So that was pretty funny seeing my MIL say some of the raunchy things!!!

@Cheetara2 Thanks for the check-in! I don't really participate on the board anymore except for Wednesdays. I lurk through the week, but lately, I've been really down. I should be 6 months now, and that's hitting me hard. I guess staying away from the board is my coping mechanism, even though this board is nothing but supportive women who are dealing with the same damn thing. IDK if it's because I can't say I've had a successful pregnancy, and I'm scared out of my mind that that's not in the cards for me, even though I have planned my whole life around my future children. I know there are women here who have gone through hell and back, and that my story is nothing compared to their heartache. There are several women who are pregnant at work, and I can't help but be insanely jealous, so my emotions have gotten the best of me lately. Basically, I feel jealous, envious, heartbroken, sympathetic, and inspired all at once.

@Cheetara2 - Thank you for the check-in. You are a great check-in leader! Glad you got your infection cleared up and I hope you're feeling better!

@LauraO11 - I hope you have a fabulous trip and it helps take your mind off your upcoming surgery a little bit! I will be sending so many T&Ps your way in 13 days!

@Frenchteachermama - FX that AF shows and you do not have to reschedule your surgery. I am sure you are anxious to get it over and have that behind you! I hope you have a great bday next week! Do you have anything fun planned??

@bansel92813 - FX for you! My cycles have been oddly short since my loss too. They used to always be 27-29 days, now they are like 23-25 days. But they seem to be getting a little longer each passing month, so I hope it's the same for you!

@laswett - I can completely relate to every single thing you said in your post. My loss has really hit me like a ton of bricks this month. I think all the time about how I would know the baby's sex by now. And I see pregnant women at work with due dates close to mine and it is like a punch in the gut. I have really been struggling as well. So many hugs to you hun. I completely understand.

AFM, nothing much to report. We completely missed my FW this month due to our stupid work schedules, so we are out this cycle. I'm impatiently waiting for AF to arrive. She was supposed to show today but nothing so far. I'm hoping for tomorrow. I just want to move on to the next cycle. As I mentioned above, I've been really struggling this month and I'm not even 100% sure why, but I've been just feeling really down about my loss. I'm trying to be more positive but it is just really tough for me right now.

QOTW - My Thanksgiving was not that great. There was a lot of family drama going on and my emotional state was not great. I'm hoping I can get it together for Christmas!

I'm getting married in 16 days, and we're no longer TTA! I've been crazy busy so haven't been as active on the board, but still lurking posting when I can. Glad to hear you are on the mend!

@bansel92813 - FX for you! I'm in the same boat - I'm hovering around 24 days ever since my MC. Hoping they get a little longer too!

@laswett - I too can totally relate to every single thing you said in your post. My best friend just found out she's pregnant, and I'll have four pregnant friends/family members at my wedding, all who are due around when I was. I'm definitely a little nervous that my emotions may get the best of me but I'm hoping actually getting married will keep me in a happy mood. Big hugs to you from me.

@ctk181 - Sorry you've been feeling down. I'm hoping your Christmas is better than your Thanksgiving - hugs to you!

@Frenchteachermama‌ I'm pretty nervous about when AF will decided to show. I've been tempting to have abetter idea, and I'm worried I'm about to O soon, which will make her arrive right around my surgery. They only have the tool for one day only, so it's a go either way- but I'd love her to be over with to give them the best visual.

Hey! Thanks for the check in - I think everyone's pretty busy these days.

I am just beginning the 2WW - I O'd yesterday. Feeling good about the cycle; but then again, I always do...

I've been crazy busy this week (this is a post and run - sorry)! I've been in PD for work, juggling rehearsals and trying to settle our foster son in. I also just finished my semester work for grad school.

I'll be around more next week, I promise!
