Middle Name Help!!

We are thinking about changing our LO's middle name but can't seem to figure out what goes best. The two below are family names that we each chose (1) originally before we knew if it was a girl or a boy. I am hoping this board is less brutal than the regular bump boards/ monthly boards LOL. 
ETA- LO will be a BOY so please let me know if you think these too sound too girly with the first name, too! 

Our last name starts with a K and is pretty irish/scottish sounding.

    I like both but my preference would depend on your last name...if your last name was "Kelly," I'd vote for Shannon so everything doesn't end in y, but otherwise I'd prob pick Murphy. Rory is very cute!

    I like both but chose Rory Shannon because there was a bit too much "r" sound going on for me with Rory Murphy.
    Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!

    It's been a long road to here...
    Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!
    June'12 - First RE Visit
    Sept. '12 - Tubes removed
    Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies!
    Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13
    Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d
    Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect. :(
    Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p
    Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
    Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!
    Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
    EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
    Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
    We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle

    I picked Rory Shannon because there are too many r and y sounds in Rory Murphey for my tastes.

    I grew up with a boy named Rory, but I loved Gilmore Girls, so for me the name can go either way.

    If you really want to have a family name, then I say go with it no matter what. Either of your options are fine. If you are open to others, my suggestions are:

    Rory Charles
    Rory Christopher
    Rory Bennett
    Rory James

    Not sure why, those are just the ones that popped into my head!

    Good luck settling on one!

    it ends in N, so this is one of the reasons we are reconsidering Shannon...

    This is why we chose Rory actually-- DW loveeees Gilmore Girls and it was actually one of the FEW names neither of us associated with someone we didn't like that much. We both only know one Rory (different ones- both guys) and both are good eggs :)  and it's a "strong" name :)

    I don't want to give away which is which but basically we each chose a full name- DW chose the boy's first & middle, I chose if it were a girl.  I lost (LOL)  but now we are reconsidering using my middle name so we both had a part in his name-- you never know what the future holds!

    I love Connor, it's Ben's middle name and we especially liked it because it means "lover of hounds" and we have 2 dogs so Ben will hopefully live up to his name. As for Shannon or Murphy- I like the sound of Rory Shannon.

    A & K, married 7/1/13.

    After 10 months of ttc via medicated IUIs and two early losses, we finally got our boys- Perfect premie twins born 5/27/14.
