My DD is EBF but I worry that I'm starting to produce less and she is needing more.
She eats two bottles at daycare (I work part time) and I pump while at work. While at home, she eats about every two to three hours, but she'll only eat for ten minutes at most (I block feed). She used to sleep through the night, but then she caught a cold and got two teeth and, well, now she is up every two hours (sometimes every hour) each night and she wants to eat each time. I don't feel like I'm ever full enough for her and then I don't have time to pump while she's sleeping so I have enough for the next day.
I'm worried because I got my first PP period and when my DS, my body stopped producing milk when that happened; although, I was EPing with him.
I think I'm just looking for reassurance that I'm not drying up ... help!!
Re: 6 months and hitting a wall
I'm going to try to pump before my shift starts at work to get in an extra pump and I'm also going to do the power pumping at night after DD goes down (for the first time at least). I'm also trying to drink water like crazy.
Hearing encouraging words helps so much - thank you both so much. I feel like I'm fighting against my body some days to keep going when all I want to do is sleep. I'm going to keep chugging along though!
