I did my 16 pushups last night.  Nakey, in the closet, right before my shower.  Because that's when I remembered.
    Hawt.
Yep, nothing like flabby bellies sagging to the ground.

Honestly y'all, it's so weird.  My abs are more sore than anything else from doing these pushups.  That is SAD.

  • Finished day 2 last night.

I didn't break out the mat, but I will tonight.

  • 40sec plank done. I'm debating starting the push up challenge, or some second challenge too after my arms are actually a bit sore from the push ups yesterday. Which is sad.

Pushups take a LOT of ab strength, thats why its easier on the knees.

I don't know what I'm going to do today. I'm not in a 30 day challenge but so far this week I've ran and played some hoops, so tonight I'll try to do some squats and/or pushups.

Kind of related but unrelated - anyone a biker here? We've been pondering getting an indoor trainer for our bikes - since we both have nice road bikes but aren't hard core enough to go biking in winter - plus its dark when we get home. Anyone know anything about them?
I've been thinking about getting this one on Amazon.

I need to check my husband's road bike to see if it will actually work with this.

It may not work with yours if you don't have quick release wheels.

I just looked for ones that had good reviews, were magnetic (I believe these are quieter).  And would adjust their tension.

  • @stringy813‌ I really want one of those too. I used to bike to work but am too big of a baby to ride when it gets cold.

  • Interesting, that is much cheaper than the one we looked at.
    https://www.amazon.com/Blackburn-Trakstand-Mag-3-Trainer/dp/B002R74WVM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1417621984&sr=8-2&keywords=blackburn+tech+mag+6

Only reason I went with that is because my local bike shop carries it (for much more) so I figure its of decent quality. I do have to look at the QR - I don't think our back wheels are, so we'd need an adapter.

I can't imagine paying 300+ for the fancy kind until we know if we'd use it all.the.time. So one of these is good to start.
Are you planning to switch bikes or just use one?  That's the only downfall to that one.  Some of the other stands have a bar you can add to your bike for quick set-up.  That would only be a plus if you are switching bikes.  Plus you'll want the riser block to go with it.

  • Chest and back later on.  and ab ripper.

I'm tired just thinking about it. lol

    I've done like 7 rounds of p90x and I still can't do 5 pull-ups.  hell…I can't even do 3 without assistance from a chair.  I stink

  • Stringy, J has a magnetic trainer for his bike. He says it does what he needs it to do. It's a little on the loud side (compared to a fluid trainer), but not terrible.

  • I have been sick all week so the only thing I have energy for is kegels. Which I really need to do even when I'm feeling well. Because 2+ years PP, I still pee a little when I cough or sneeze. Sorry if that's TMI.
