Ukelele for a toddler?

So, O is OBSESSED with guitars. My father got a cheap (~$35) wooden ukelele for his birthday, and now I'm wondering- should I buy him a ukelele for Christmas? Do you think the thing would be able to stand up to the abuse he might put it through (namely throwing, or running it over with a truck, or possibly standing on it if we happened to look away at the wrong moment)?

I would get it and explain to him that he needs to be gentle because it will break. And that if you catch him being rough with it you'll have to take it away for a while. I bet he'll get the idea pretty quickly
