Screaming

in May 2014 Moms
anyone else have LOs who scream at the top of their lungs? I think he just likes to hear himself but it is super obnoxious to other people. DH asked me today if all babies do this and I told him I thought so. When he does it we say "shh" in a quiet voice and speak softly for a minute. Will he grow out of this? How should we handle it when he does it?

    My LO did this a lot for about a week. She still does it, but not nearly as much. Whenever my LO learns something new she likes to do it a lot, so he may just like to hear himself do it.

    Mine does this too and we should probably discourage it but we laugh and copy her sometimes lol.  I think they are just discovering their voices. Like pp said usually when she does something new it only lasts a week or 2.  She was doing some hyperventilating with a sad face any time she didn't want to be put down or got frustrated.  It was like this new mouth breathing she figured out and she kept doing it but this week I haven't noticed it as much.

    DD does it when we take food away from her!! She has quite a temper!

    Jess & Adam, married 2009, precious Audrey born in 2011. BFP 1/6/13, 6-wk MMC discovered at 9 wks 2/11/13. D&C 2/18/13, second D&C 4/23/13 for retained placenta.
    BFP 8/24/13!! EDD 5/1/14, delivered healthy and sweet Zoey Leanne on 5/5/14 by repeat c-section.

    Yep and I started showing him how to do it.. We immediately regretted it. Now he does it a lot and I still laugh and do it with him.. Lol hopefully he stops soon..

    Yep- she'll be babbling and all of sudden she screams- than she'll laugh or smile. We just laugh and go oh really? She'll start babbling again.

    Edited bc I can't type tonight!

    My LO has been doing it off and on for about a month. She'll pick a day and just go to town then not do it for a few days then start back up again. Unfortunately for my husband today is one of those days...

    L has started trying to 'talk' to other babies by grunting/screaming at them. Scared the crap out of my friends one year old last night #-o

    DD just started screaming a few minutes ago.  She is screaming at the dog who is sitting a couple of feet away.

    Our DD likes to start by babbling in the middle of the night to wake us up, wait about five minutes so we think she's asleep and then we doze off again and then AHHHHH!!!! She shrieks and scares the living shit out of us. It's hilarious. :-w
