STM gifts for baby #2

I want to buy a gift for a friend who is expecting baby #2 any day now but she says she doesn't need anything bc she has everything from baby #1. So I'm looking for suggestions from STMs, is there anything you needed to buy for your second LO? Any good gift ideas? We don't know if it's a boy or a girl. TIA!

    Diapers, wipes, a special outfit or something crafty for that baby. I'm needing to replace some infant toys and board books as well. I needed crib sheets and the like (DS Is still in his crib/toddler bed).

    My go to new baby gift is a basket with California baby super sensitive body wash and shampoo, mustela diaper rash cream, Aden and anais wash cloths and teething toys. Or wait until the baby is born, if it's not the same sex as the older kid, they'll need some cute gender specific clothes.

    I would have appreciated anything, even a cute little outfit or carseat toy or swaddle blanket (but we cloth diaper). Not that we needed anything, but just the thought would have counted. No one gave us any kind of gifts before baby #2 was born, and it kind of felt like no one cared, even if that was a silly way to feel.

    Totally understand what you are saying. The first baby gets tons of attention and gifts it seems, and a lot of people don't tend to do things for subsequent babies. I was legitimately upset with my brother and sister who didn't buy one thing for my second child. It isn't about getting a gift, it's just acknowledgement really.

    Something for your friend, not necessarily for the baby. Gift card to spa, out to eat (and follow-up with an offer to babysit), etc.

    If you want to get something for the baby, maybe something that you really loved and know that she doesn't have (i.e. nose freda or whatnot).

    Gift cards for convenience food in your area could be nice-- we ate a ton of Pei Wei after LO was born.

    A bathtime essentials kit with a nice new towel for LO, a new pack of facecloths, baby wash, diaper cream, etc.  Our towels and facecloths are gross after four months and I would definitely replace them if I have a second.

    What's your budget on it? I mean how much do you want to spend for the give? Well if you don't want to spend a lot, why not go for baby thermometer, baby clothes or baby shoes that are very cute.

    I was thinking that this was about Christmas gifts for LO2 but noooo.

    So, can we make this about what to give LO2 as LO2 doesn't really get the concept of Christmas, LO1 is too young to realize LO2 isn't getting anything and besides, we have all the toys and clothes from LO1 anyway.
