crafty ladies: tree branch help

So, we got our Christmas tree yesterday. My husband had to trim some of the limbs off the bottom. I'd like to make something with them to hang on our front door. I'm pretty certain it's not enough to make a wreath.
What else could I make?

If you need more, I think Home Depot and maybe Lowe's are pretty generous with spare parts. I used to work for the grower who supplied the trees to the HD's in the Northeast and we used to just give the branches to anyone who came looking. They actually used to disappear pretty quick but if you hit it right you could score a bunch.
