Hi ladies,
As my baby start outgrowing clothes and some equipment I'm contemplating this issue as I live in a small apartment with minimal storage. DD is my first baby and she is 4 months old, I don't see myself having a second baby until she is at least 2.5 years old and storage space in our house is absolutely precious.
As she is outgrowing clothes, I'm donating/selling items and keeping only the expensive items as keepsakes, a couple of items only (mainly baby gifts clothing items from grandma and aunt as they went crazy when they knew I expected a girl.) I kept her coming home from the hospital as well as keep sakes but beside that everything else has to go.
When it comes to baby gear and equipment though I don't know what you'd keep for a second baby and what isn't worth keeping and would love to hear your opinion on the matter, (everything I bought or had on my babyshower giftlist was gender neutral so no pinks and blues)
her stroller and crib are ones which could be used up until a new baby is in the picture baby/toddler
what would you keep/donate/sell of;
baby bottles
pacifiers
infant car seat
swing
infant rocking chair with toys
baby gym
plush chewable toys that can't be washed and are labeled "clean with a damp towel only"
the rest of the stuff I think are easily reused and would still be in her room anyway when baby number 2 is here hopefully
as to maternity items and clothes would you get rid of anything? I didn't show much and so didn't buy a bunch of stuff but I know I'd need more stuff next time around to avoid the "I've worn everything 10000000 times syndrome" that I had in my first pregnancy:
I stored everything in a small suitcase and it's taking up precious space in my closet plus of course the suitecase!
Re: WWYD Baby Equipment, Maternity stuff & storage
I store everything in our maids room, since we don't have a live in. It's getting a bit crowded, but I can live with it for a few years until our next.

Can you get an under-the-bed storage box? That's what I used for much of this stuff. Like @PrivacyWanted, even though my kids are less than 2 years apart, very little is being reused. The play gym, toys, books, and her single stroller. DS actually uses some bottles DD rejected. That was a nice surprise, but he rejected the bottles she loved. Oh, and we still use our Ergo. Both kids love the Ergo.

There are some good ideas here: (or just google tiny apartment storage)

Do you have options for storage units? In New York City we had a pretty cheap rental storage unit the size of a closet.

They are actually fine if they are the non-BPA newer ones and if they aren't stained or damaged. I researched the crap out of that before I had DS. So no reassurance needed.
