Mobile?

LO just started crawling but keeps getting on his toes like he wants to stand so he will be in like a downward dog position.  Its almost like he wants to walk already.  Anybody else have little ones that seem like all they want to do is get up and walk around?  It also made me curious as to how many LO's are mobile and how are they getting from here to there, crawling, army crawling, scooting, rolling, etc.

  • Chase is army crawling absolutely everywhere. He tries to get on all 4s but not there yet! Soon
  • Army crawling for weeks. He wishes he could walk!
  • Full on crawl for a few weeks and starting to pull up to. Personally, I enjoyed DS1 being a later mover - they are so much easier to manage when they aren't mobile. :-)
  • She was pulling up before she was crawling, and she just started crawling over Thanksgiving break! :)

  • No crawling, won't really roll, except to roll from tummy to back so she can scoot on her back.

  • Just crawling. DS was close to walking at this age and DD1 was even crawling at this point. They're all very different!

  • Crawling everywhere and pulling up on whatever he can get to that is a foot or less off the ground. Boxes are the toy of choice right now, as are mommy and daddy laying on the floor. It is so sweet how proud of himself he is every time he pulls/pushes up. Big smiles and giggles all around.

  • Rolling everywhere, rocking on his hands and knees, army crawling, but not real crawling or pulling up on anything. He loves to sit and observe. I'm okay with it. Dr doesn't seem concerned about development so I'm not either.

  • Army crawling like a champ. Gets up on her knees and rocks but not crawling. Just started doing the occasional downward facing dog and pulling herself up. LO is 7 months.
  • Crawling for several weeks, pulling up on everything, loves to hold onto the baby gate and do "squats." I'm a little envious of all the babies who are still non-mobile.
  • Real crawling now and pulling to stand. I was getting her ready for a bath last week and all of a sudden she was standing next to me at the tub.
  • Rolling everywhere, rocking on his hands and knees, army crawling, but not real crawling or pulling up on anything. He loves to sit and observe.

This is my LO. She also does the downward dog pose. She has crawled just one step forward but then she flops back to her tummy and goes back to army crawling or rolling to where she wants to be.

All of this is Gavin. He can even turn at a 90 degree angle to maneuver his rolling better.

  • LO is cruising everywhere, and has been for about a month. She stood all by herself twice over thanksgiving, but thankfully hasn't again since! She's all about pulling up on everything she can. Slow down little girl!
