Hello! I am so excited.....my DH and I have decided we are going to get a live-in housekeeper next year! This is kind of a spin-off to all the threads talking about how to make a large family work.
I have posted on here before, but as a little background: I have three children ages three and under (a set of three year old twins and an eight month old). DH and I have decided we definitely want one more child in about a year. We have realized to do this, (since we are both full-time working professionals), we will need live-in help. It seemed like quite a few people on here have help (live-in or otherwise). Does anyone have any recommendations for agencies I can research and talk to? Ideally we are looking for someone to do 90% housework and 10% childcare. I like to think of this person as doing all the things a stay-at-home mom would do, except childcare, because my older two are in school, and my youngest is in daycare.
Thanks!
Re: Live-In Help Recommendations (s/o Family Size)
I don't have a live in housekeeper, but I do have someone 20 hours a week to do all of the household chores, and I have an aupair who lives with us and does childcare.
I just recommended this book in another post, but it was really helpful for me in deciding how much help I needed.
A Housekeeper is Cheaper than a Divorce
Here is a pretty good post from another message board on choosing an aupair agency.
