I think I'm coming down with the flu. Chills, fever, aches, the works. Anyways is there anything I can do to protect DD? I'm no longer nursing so she won't get the antibodies. I know this is a stupid question, but I'm a worried FTM.
With my first, she gave ME the flu. I suggest going to the doctor yourself to get diagnosed and treated. The sooner you are over it, the better all around. If you DO test positive for flu, and DD gets something, they will probably test for flu first and may not have to do more invasive testing.
Oh, and wash those hands and RESIST the urge to kiss those sweet baby cheeks!
Personally, I'd make sure that I had all the things my DS would need in the event that he did get sick: thermometer, saline drops, nose sucker, baby Tylenol, etc.
Hopefully hand washing and no baby kisses will keep your little one bug free, but at least you'll be ready either way and not having to shop when both of you are sick.
