  • Depends on your work environment and management. I told mine and my coworkers. They also knew my DH and I had been trying. They are all very excited and supportive. I have a good relationship with my coworkers and management.

  • I told mine right away, I work in a kitchen and the smell of foods was getting to me. He thought something was up. He has been super supportive ever since. But it really depends on your situation and what you are comfortable with.

  • I'll tell mine after the cerclage is placed and I'm in the clear of any possible impact of that procedure (so, likely around 12-14w). Given I'm high risk and the likelihood of my ending up on bed rest, I'm telling them as soon as I'm comfortable, out of respect for their need to identify a backfill and allow for early transition time, in case I go out early, like last time.

  • I'll tell when I start to wear maternity clothes, so probably 20+ weeks.
  • I'll tell coworkers probably after my first US. One of them already knows. I'm a nurse and I can't take certain assignments if I'm pregnant. I don't really have a boss right now so I don't really care if management knows once everyone else does.

  • I told my direct supervisor because of the type of work I do. I climb telephone poles and crawl in attics and under houses it's hard physical labor and I'm exposed to alot of nasty stuff. I'm expecting to be but on some type of lifting restrictions soon. My employer sees it as risky for me to be in the field by myself I guess.

I'm staying quiet until at least after Christmas although I've been off ill a few times. I'm in a new job for don't want them to know too soon.
  • I told my boss and our accounting manager because I work. Loosely with them everyday. I figured they would notice me going to the bathroom more. I wanted my boss to know in case i had MS that made me come in later to work.
  • I wont tell until he notices....which who knows with my boss? My coworkers know, because they knew we were trying. One of my coworkers and I have been friends for years outside of work and I knew when he and his wife were trying/successful.
  • I told right away.. Didn't want to do any heavy lifting. Mainly because it makes my back hurt. Lol
  • The strange part is the day I before I found out he said "are you the one who is pregnant?" And I said "god no"! Found out the next day that I am in fact pregnant. After I told him that he said " I know. I always know. And it's a girl"

I was like.. Uhhhh.. Okay!? Lol
  • I told my immediate boss as soon as I had the positive HPT. I wanted someone to know in case an emergancy happened at work or maybe I needed to go home from sickness. I think at least one or two people should know at work just in case something happens and you need medical attention and maybe can't speak for yourself. That's just me though! :-)
  • My boss is not going to take it well so I'm putting it off. He has been ignoring my requests to replace employees who have left so now he has only myself (I am the manager) and 1 other employee running his store. Well wouldn't you know it, she is pregnant and due in Feb and now I am too. Neither of us are coming back. It's especially worse since we are in the back to school business and I'm bowing out during summer. I expect him to throw a temper tantrum when I tell him tbh.
  • I told my HR manager because they are transferring my location and I get they should knows that if the transfer me, I may only be there for a few months. Other than that, I'm not telling my direct manager or any coworkers until after New Years which will put me around 14 weeks.
  • With DS I was cautiously optimistic due to a previous MC and waited until I hit the 2nd tri. Plan on doing the same this time...and still cautiously optimistic.
  • I'm telling after my 2nd ultrasound
  • I told my boss the day after I found out. I always said they'd have 9 months notice. Lol. I work in daycare so it hasn't been a problem so far, but I wanted them to know since I've got a lot of different Dr appointments I'm going to now and I'm Perry close with most of my coworkers since I've been here more than 4 years. My boss knew we were trying so it wasn't a shock to her.

  • I'd like to wait until second tri to tell. However, soon my team will be planning out our activities for the next fiscal year (starts in April) so at that point I will probably bring it up as my manager will need to plan for finding a temporary replacement.

  • I told my boss the week after I got the BFP. I teach preschool and was having nausea so I needed to come up with a plan to have someone come watch my class if I needed to run to the restroom.

  • I'm not sure, honestly. I'm in a small office and am worried about telling my boss. I know she'll be supportive but July is right in the middle of our busiest time of year. One of my coworkers is due early January and I am to take on her work while she is on leave. I'll probably wait to announce until after she's had her little one. I don't want her to have to share the spotlight.

  • I am planning on telling once I am past the first trimester. Though it may have to come up sooner as i am a nurse and there are certain things that I can't do when pregnant, but it hasn't come up yet
  • I told my boss right away. My all day sickness is no joke, and I told her yesterday its twins but she didn't reply to my email . So a little nervous lol.
  • I'm trying to wait till Jan/Feb. I really hope I can make it! I won't see my boss until Feb, and will only see a couple of other managers here and there...only problem is, it's hard to hide morning sickness and not drinking when you travel with someone!
  • Im about to get a position that doubles my pay, I think Im going to wait until at least mid January when someone is hired for my current position.  I worked until the day I went into labor last time and my last job was very labor intensive so Im sure I will do the same this time around.

  • Both DH and I will tell ours after our appointment on the 16th.  We work for the same company, so we're going to tell them around the same time.  I never really told anyone at my last job when I was pregnant with DD, they all just figured it out when I started showing.  That's the course of action this time too.

  • I have to tell my employer soon because our uniforms are kind of restricting & I don't know how much longer I can wear regular jeans with a belt.. The bloat is extreme! ;)
