Dd seems to have a hard time focusing. For instance she was sitting in a friends lap, and the friend was moving her hand a lot while she was talking. DD was constantly blinking because of it. I assume that she is just learning to focus. But... Is this normal?
I have a shrieker, too. I think she likes to hear herself.
Mine will play with a toy and get increasingly noisy/shrieky until she works herself into a cry and I have to take the toy away because she's upset, particularly with her o-ball. Normal?
Junie does that too-- I think because she has an idea of what she intends to do with her toy (EAT IT!) but her motor skills can't quite make that happen. Then she gets upset.

@livkight is your baby's name Juniper or is that a nickname? I really like that! Juni
DD shrieks a bit too. She also made this completely odd high pitched squeal last night in the middle of BFing. Like, she popped off- squealed and then I re latched her and she continued to eat.
It was like the goat from the new Sprint commercial...
DS had a shrieking phase which I adored and took way too many videos of. Now he still shrieks occasionally but has moved on to grunting. He discovered how to roll the other day so now he grunts and attempts to roll all day and all night long. It's hilarious. Took me awhile to figure out it wasn't fussing. I only figured it out after two minutes of videoing his symphony of grunts interspersed with a few shrieks and squeals and he was still happy as a clam. I think he likes to hear all the new noises he can make, too, like @rlbregg .
PS Hi from an old active participant turned into lurker after maternity leave ended :-h
DD has been rubbing her right ear for the past few days, no fever or anything. I'm going to call the pediatrician this morning but I feel like maybe I'm jumping the gun? It could be teething right?
I think it's just because she has found a new "toy" to play with. If she isn't fussy or fevered, I wouldn't worry about it. Hands, feet, ears, hair...all things for them to grab ahold of and play/put in their mouths.

That's a sheep
DD makes a yelling sound. She likes to do it while we watch football. I think she's already a heckler...or maybe it's because she sees DH and I yelling at the screen (we're Bengals fans, so that explains the yelling).

Makes sense. She discovered her feet last week, and they are her new best friends
Aww, she is a very beautiful baby! Her hair is growing in just like DDs.

Her name is Juniper! We call her June, Junie, Junebug, etc.
Baylor just turned 4 months and has recently started screaming when people he doesn't know looks at or talks to him. Is this normal?
My LO does this too. He concentrates on the person's face and when they say something and he doesn't recognize the voice, he breaks into red face scream/cry.

Cora rolled over for the first time on Friday (tummy to back), but hasn't done it again, or even shown interest in doing it again. In fact, she's back to screaming when put on her tummy.
She was also very close to rolling from back to tummy (and constantly trying when laid down), but has stopped that too.

Glad this isn't just happening in our house!
Happening here, too. We had two thanksgiving gatherings and DD was only happy if I was the one holding her.

Yep dd will try so hard for a day to rollover and then the next day has no interest. Fickle child.

This exactly DS. Last week he rolled belly to back and then didn't do it for about a week. He was so close to rolling back to tummy and now has zero interest in it!
DD has rolled both ways but could care less to do it regularly, if at all. She just wants to cram her feet in her mouth. She would rather try to sit up on her own. I guess that is going to be her great accomplishment. She is almost there!
