  I don't know, but I recommend calling your doctor immediately. Are you leaking a lot? For me, I had something like what you're describing, plus a lot of watery discharge, and it turned out that my water had broken, and there was meconium. This can be dangerous for the baby if they breathe it in, so they wanted me to come into the hospital right away. DS was born healthy 6 hours later.

  Go and google an 'image search' for mucous plug, you'd be surprised at the variety of result you'll get.
