Ultrasound and 1 month follow-up with my MFM in the morning! Extra excited since I haven't seen my little man's sweet face in a month (November 4th) and I'm crossing my fingers and toes they tell me he's still head down! From his nonstop dance party the past 2 days I'm guessing he is so I'm hopeful!
Got a call from my OB this afternoon that I passed my glucose test last week, too. I knew I'd pass it but it's always nice to hear it from her as well
I'm finally able to eat tonight since I made chicken and veggie soup in the crockpot (I'm only eating broth and veggies but they're delicious!). Helps a lot that DH really likes it, too! I may just be human again by morning!
Glad today wasn't all bad!

F15 January Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward To After Baby's Born
After half a work day on Wednesday, then 5 days off I'm dreading going into the office tomorrow. I'm more and more anxious for maternity leave. Not that ML is a vacation or anything, but I'm starting to see my heart and mind are on home and family... Not work

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Waited a long time, tried a lot of stuff, science made me a mom.
Loss and IF veteran. Current mom of DS 5.5, DD 2, and sometimes DH 40. Due June 2021 with TWINS
I found a silly reindeer sweater for my ugly Christmas sweater party at my Moms group next Monday. I ordered it on Amazon on Friday. Noticed on Saturday that it said "Shipped- estimated arrival date Dec 26-Jan 9".
WTF?! It doesn't even say where it is coming from, only that it is international shipping and there is no tracking info.
So I emailed them and they basically said "too bad, thanks for your patience!" in broken English.
UGH. I know this is such a first-world problem, but I am beyond frustrated with this. I really wanted that sweater.
@krendel1990 I got so used to seeing him every 2 weeks and loved seeing how much he had changed in such a short time. I'm like a kid at Christmas about seeing how much he's changed in the past month! The tech is always so sweet about giving me a ton of pictures of him and always attempts a 4D if he's sitting still long enough. I'm hoping he's lazy tomorrow and I can get one, on top of hoping he's behaved otherwise and they have nothing new to report to my OB of course!

I'm in the same boat. I let my students play catch up today rather than proceeding with the lesson plan just because I didn't feel like lecturing. Maternity leave is going to be a terminal condition for me, and I can't wait. I just want to be home with my kids, wearing pjs, throwing dance parties and making cookies.
Tomorrow is DS and my birthday. We are throwing him a surprise party after school tomorrow and I'm just praying DH gets the house cleaned up and picks up the balloons and cupcakes like I asked since I won't be off work in time.
@jaztastic I know what you mean about ML, it seems so close and yet so far...
I don't have preclampsia, but they can't find anything wrong with me.
My OB was just a rude bitch to me the whole time. My blood came back find and so did the urine. Then my OB asked me when was the last time you had an eye examine. I told her a year ago and she said well you probably just need a new prescription.
I've had glasses since before going into kindergarten I know when I need to get a new prescription. Seeing spots and having my vision tunnel is not anywhere near normal for me which I told her that.
Then she decides well you must be hypoglycemic what are you eating. SO I tell her. When I mention I usually have a cup of coffee she tells me the coffee is causing this and to stop drinking it.
I drink coffee in the morning not at night when the vision issues has happened. And one cup every other day hasn't caused anything to happen this whole pregnancy so far. Then when I told her what I eat daily she said that those foods didn't sound right. I also mentioned that one night that this happened I had snacked on pickles and cheese. She then lectured me how I need to eat the right kinds of foods and these things won't happen to me and how cheese and pickles has no nutritional value. I ate that once! I'm sorry but I think eating that once has a before bed snack won't hurt a damn thing.
SO I stayed at the ER all those hours had all these tests ran on me for them to find nothing. When they could have done all of this at their office. My OB acted as if she didn't believe what I was telling her. I don't have a reason to make up my vision doing this. All other times I have called with a symptom I have ended up actually having something to cause it. So Its not like I call my OB crying wolf ever.
I'm just so frustrated and pissed with the way I was treated and told how well if I ate the right things this wouldn't happen. What am I eating wrong?
SO now she wants me to see a neurologist. But she was so rude about telling she was referring me to one. She just acted like she didn't believe what I was telling her.
And the vision issue has happened more than once. I didn't come running to her office or calling right away just incase it was a fluke and just happened once, which I also explained that to her.

@psychobutthead, I'm sorry your OB lacks bedside manners. Any option in going to someone else?
I had a bad day. My left pelvis started acting up this afternoon, I suspect might have to do with the baby leaning on something. I felt some very sharp pain with every left step, it was so paralyzing. I barely made it home and now sitting in bed feeling a bit under the weather. I must have caught a cold while slow motioning to my car. At least now I'm not in pain anymore. I guess it's time to turn in. G'night, all.
@pikopiko I probably could. But she works specifically at the hospital I want to deliever at. So even if I switched OB's theres a chance she could still potentially deliever LO if she happens to be the on call that night. So since I want that particular hospital there will always be the chance she will deliver him. I'l just wait her out and once I have him switch Obgyn's. We probably won't have more kids after all the issues with this pregnancy.
Hoping you aren't coming down with something. Take it easy and have a good night.

@psychobutthead - she sounds horrible. Cheese and pickles have no nutritional value!? I bet she's had one hour of nutr class her whole career...and clearly wasn't paying attention.
Yeah, calcium is important for pregnant ladies, yo.
@psychobutthead I would switch to another doc in the practice, at least for my regular appointments if I felt that way about my OB. I wish you were closer to The Woodlands, you would be so much happier with our Kelsey OBs.
