Vomit! Part II

So DD just completely vomited all over. So. Much. Vomit. It was clearly not spit up and even had sweet potatoes from earlier today. We bathed her and she seems happy now. No fever. She does have a bit of a cold and is teething. She did have the runs a little bit too.

Would you try another bottle before bed? Any other advice? Sorry but this has never happened this bad before and it scared the crap out of me!

So DD did it again tonight. Was fine all day but gagged herself with her bottle tonight. Vomit everywhere. Afterwards she was just fine for a while but then went into a coughing gagging attack. I'm going to tell DC no sweet potatoes tomorrow bc maybe they are sitting heavy on her tummy. I'll call Dr in am too. Poor baby :(

  • Thanks @Chevygrrl91‌ Sorry you just went through this. It was so scary. I held her upright with me in bed for awhile now she's passed out. I'm afraid to our her back in her crib! May have to kick DH out of bed so I can let her stay with me tonight.

  • I'm sorry, poor baby. I wait 3 hrs or until LO asks/shows signs of hunger. Whichever comes first.

I ended up keeping her in bed with me and kicked DH out to the guest room.   She slept better than I did :)

She slept well for the first part of the night but woke up screaming at 4am.   DH fed her about 3oz and she was up fussing for awhile then slept for about a half hour.   She was up screaming again around 5:30 so I gave her another 2 oz and she passed out.   Woke up screaming around 7:30 but once she was up she was happy-go-lucky baby. All smiles and giggles....WTF?  We took her to daycare (broke my heart...but this is my insanely crazy season so I couldn't stay home).

It just really scared me.  She's never been much of a spitter and this was just like nothing I've ever seen between the smell, consistency and amount.   It was all over me, all over the rocker, the floor, and all over her.   I think she was gagging on phlegm and perhaps that's what made her throw up.    She was also pulling on her ear a little so I'm going to see if Dr thinks i should bring her in.    Poor babe :(   Just wish I could snuggle her all day.
  • I hope she feels better soon. Poor thing
