What's on your holiday gift list for LO this year?

I feel like DS and DD are ready for some new toys, and since I haven't bought any in a while, I feel like I'm going to end up going overboard for the holidays. Our list currently includes:

- Minnie convertible car/Mickey airplane playsets

- Set of 6 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse figurines

- CAT preschool train set (small and inexpensive, connects with magnets and has a working light on the front)

- Set of play vegetables

- New toothbrushes

Still considering other options for developmentally appropriate toys. I think my parents are going to get them a Lego/Duplo set.

Crossing my fingers that this thread doesn't turn into a dissertation about the evils of plastic toys. ::runs for cover::

Well, they are evil, but we ended up telling my parents ok on the kids kindle fire they want to get dd so who am I to judge

We are thinking about play doh set, art supplies, stamp set, books, CDs, ballerina outfit (she is obsessed with "do ballet" and we have no idea why), bike or trike.....but have no solid plan. Probably one main thing and then a smaller thing or two and stocking. Reigning it in is hard, but we want the focus to be on Advent and Jesus' birth so we are trying. The best thing we got already is a cradle to cross wreath and family Advent devotional to start tomorrow and I am pretty pumped about that. We want to get a trampoline, but don't want to tie something that extravagant to Christmas so may just get in the spring for fun.

We are getting our girl a spiderman anywhere chair from pottery barn, a magna doodle type thing, a wooden frog that you pull around by a string, probably an aqua doodle mat.

She loves drawing right now. Oh, and maybe a mini adirondack style chair for the new house(yard) and a big bouncy ball for the yard too.

We didn't do much last year because she didn't need anything and didn't 'get' Christmas.

I'm finished shopping. I got DD1 a Little People City Skyway, and a couple books and wooden puzzles. I also got a $20 table and chairs set from Ikea, which I'm painting grey and mint green, and painting the table top with chalkboard paint. I'm going to hint for her grandparents to get her a mini trampoline, but if they don't get it, I'll get her one for her b-day. We're not getting anything for DD2 because she's way too young to understand, and I'm sure grandparents will get her stuff anyway.

My kids are going to get so much stuff and we have nowhere to put it. We bought DD a bowling set from Melissa and Doug, crayons, coloring books, 2 books, and bathtub markers. I know she's getting baby dolls, puzzles, books, Legos, a little people set, the Band in a Box from Melissa and Doug, play food, a See and Say, and probably other things that I'm missing from family members.

We got DS 2 books, a dump truck, the Sophie giraffe teether, and washcloths. I know he doesn't get it but I still wanted him to have presents too.

I got both DS1 and DS2 a plasma car. I don't even really think of presents as DS1's vs. DS2's - it all just seems to go in the general toy pile?! I bought a used Melissa and Doug shopping cart for cheap, and am getting some M&D play food to go with it. M&D police dress up kit (we have the fireman one already and it is a serious point of contention on who gets to wear it!). One thing that is special for DS1 is a spiderman action figure. He was playing with someone else's the other day and he was a total Golum about it. We need to get his new precious! haha.

I'll be keeping an eye out here for other ideas...!

We got DD a leap pad and games. DH got her hockey skates and a helmet. I got her a Minnie hoodie and some play doh toys. Getting some more things for her stocking.... Socks, crayons, etc. she loves frozen and Minnie so she's so easy to buy for! I wanted to get her a play kitchen, but we agreed to wait until we are in our new house (hopefully before her birthday!!).

I got him a play kitchen and some books. Also ordered a fisher price farm which the US postal service has somehow lost.

My parents got him a black and decker play workbench and a nabi tablet. Not sure how much more I'm going to get him besides stocking stuffers. He gets a lot from extended family.

a balance bike
finger puppets
an easel
moccasins
a toothbrush
a hiking backpack
bath paints
some random clothes if I wait to give them to him

We were going to get him a kitchen, but decided to give that to him early because he really didn't have many age appropriate toys. My mom is also getting him a wooden train set and a table and chairs set. Being the only grandkid on all sides has it's perks

Some finger paints, markers and play doh (we have been bad and not really let him have any of it)

Kindle Fire (the only one that wasn't on sale)

Grandpa is getting him his own little table and chairs and he got him a plush toddler chair for the living room.

We got E a balance bike. Then we are just getting little things to fill his sticking. I got a waterworks bath toy, new tooth brush, finger paints and play dough and a couple of Nalgene water bottles.

L is getting play doh toys, color wonder book, lots of books, Melissa and Doug magnetic fishing puzzle, a mini trampoline and clothes. Her grandparents are doing a plasma car, Melissa and Doug food for a kitchen she is getting for her birthday, more books and Duplos.

M is getting a teether and clothes because he has no idea what's going on... I'm not even wrapping them because he just wants the boob and he's good.

Mac has a tea set, a car he picked out at the store the other day, a play hockey set (mostly for dad, but I'm sure he'll love it too), a christmas book, house coat, jammies, and stocking stuffers.

My parents found a red jeep toddler/twin bed that they just HAD to buy for him since it matches his dad's red jeep. I'm nervous for him to get it, I think DH will try to take over that bed and I'll have a toddler in bed with me forever. Or both of them will be awake all night playing with it

We are going crazy with spending, which I never do... It's these terrible lightning deals on Amazon. M has pretty much no big girl toys and we can't even host playdates because everyone would just have to read, so I don't feel too bad. Whenever we go to someone's house, she always plays with the dolls, dollhouse, instruments, and cars. Plus, I want her to have inside active things since it is always so cold for so long where we live.

Right now, her grandparents are getting: doll stroller, Christmas books, coat and snow pants for next year, a bubble guppies guitar, peppa pig stickers, a puzzle, a magnadoodle, play food (breakfast), some summer clothes, and probably other things too.

Her aunt is getting a peppa pig book and a first look and find book.

We are getting a water table funnel toy, some hair items, a paint with water book, some fred and ted books to read while potty training (because they are a good length for this), and maybe a small bounce house or step 2 coaster. Plus a foof bean bag chair.

AJ, who is 2 months, is getting a toothbrush, a teething thing, a cloth book, a tummy time mat (that he'll get in advance), some foam bath letters (that M will like), and some jeans for next year. Maybe a cozy coupe for the future that M will play with now.

I am tempted to get a doll house, new doll, doll accessories, a play kitchen, and play food, and maybe some kind of climber, but I think I can maybe get some of these used.

These things will be for birthday and Christmas tho, since she was born early.

We have six flights (three each way) coming up in Feb/March to get to my sister's Caribbean wedding, so my parents are giving DS a portable DVD player for the airplane. So I'm giving him a couple of DVDs, a few books and some other little things. He's really gotten really into Elmo (or as he calls him, Elpo) for some reason, so I might look for a little Elmo stuffie. NOT one of the ones that talk and crap, just a regular one.

Dh and I are both taking off work on Thursday to go Christmas shopping, I am so excited.
We haven't decided everything yet, but we are getting ds a Step2 workbench, some extra tools, some extra go go wheels cars, some Ninja turtles, thats as far as we are now.
We are getting dd a dollhouse, bane from Batman, she for some reason is obsessed. She wants every infomercial she sees, so we think she will probably get a flippeez and a snackeez. They seem to excite her the most.

We got him a cash register that came with food, tidmouth sheds that came with sir toppemhat and a Thomas train, a radio flyer trike, a blanket for his crib I'm making, some trains.

From grandparents/aunts n uncles: he's getting Step2 Deluxe Canyon Road Train and Track Table, cardboard blocks, a basketball net, bath toys, tools, a car for outside and I don't know what else.
