How long did you still have milk?

So, I've been BF'ing DS for 5 months and some odd days, but thanks to my low supply, I gave up about 2 weeks ago.  I find that I'm STILL leaking milk and getting full pretty often.  I haven't pumped or put DS to breast in about 5 days. How long does it take to dry up?  Any chance I can still nurse DS once and awhile?

    No reason you can't nurse once or twice a day if you feel like it? But it'll (obv) prolong the time until your milk dries up.

    It'll depend on your body how much he gets once you've mostly weaned, so just look for hunger cues/make sure he has enough wet/dirty diapers, etc. You probably will want to keep the same # of nursing sessions daily so your body know when you want him to nurse. Some people can maintain that indefinitely, others may not keep up supply.

    Good luck nursing again.  You can definitely give it a go to have that closeness.  Lots of women BF and FF at the same time due to low supply.

    Tried nursing DS this morning...arched and wouldn't take it.  ugh.  I miss nursing!
