  I don't know your parents health or physical condition but I'd think about that. My mom is In Good health but has a bad back. Chasing Matthew around all day is hard for her, but a few hours after daycare but before I get off (she has him 2 hours monday and wednesday, and all day Saturday) is good for her. After having him all day Saturday she's exhausted and her back is sore (I've offered other arrangements but she won't give up her time with him).
  
  So anyway, I rambled, I would go with the m-f schedule

  I would prefer the 5 day a week schedule. Monday's drop off is the hardest and that's just after 2 days off of school. We were just off for 4 days for Thanksgiving break and I know he had a rough day back today.
  
  I would say it's up to what your parents prefer. In my mind, if she was at school 6 hours, then she would have breakfast, lunch, and nap in the same place 5 days a week. Your mom would pick up, have a snack, and play time. Sounds way easier to me.

  I use an in home woman who will only take full 5 day kids. Her reason is if they only come a few days it's like starting all over every week with routines. That's something to consider.

  Thanks for all your input! I was leaning towards the 3 days/week but now I'm thinking 5 days might be the way to go. My parents actually thought more driving but less time per day with DD would be less strenuous for them. A more consistent routine every day even though it's more shuffling seems better too.
