Weekend wasn't overly great. Mac woke up in the middle of the night Friday with a stomach bug, DH was sick, and I felt awful all weekend. We stayed home and relaxed most of it and did some cleaning. We had a turkey dinner planned with friends but obviously had to cancel, I wouldn't risk passing it to anyone else.
Holiday shopping is pretty much done! I've bought for everyone except DH, but he left links to everything he wants open on my computer so it will be easy to buy for him. I'm making him do all the shopping for his family because I don't know what they actually like.
As for red or blue, I pick blue because I have a blue kitchen? If we're talking Christmas decor, I choose red.
Last night DD woke up 2 hours after bedtime with a runny nose and fever. She was up alllll night. I don't think she slept more than maybe 5 hours total, and possibly even less than that. We brought her into our bed twice hoping she would sleep but it didn't work. You'd think after a night like that, she'd want to relax and cuddle all day, right? Nooope. This kid is seriously so hard to handle when she's sick because she will. not. rest. even when she's exhausted and sick. I feel so helpless because nothing I do makes her relax. Then she became absolutely hysterical at naptime because she was so overtired. She was hyperventilating and freaking out. I ended up climbing inside her crib and laying with her for 2 hours just so she would nap. We put her to bed an hour early tonight and I am praying she sleeps.
Anyway.... I only have 1 more gift to buy for DD and possibly 1 more for DH's grandparents and then I'm done Christmas shopping. I have almost all my wrapping done too. I wrapped 26 gifts on Saturday afternoon. I think I have 5 or 6 left to do.
I'm picking red for Christmas.

I worked the holiday, which was ok because I have no appetite with this pregnancy. I tend to dislike poultry when I'm pregnant anyways.
Holiday shopping is going well. I just need something for DH and stocking stuffers and I'm done. I need to get my mom and ILs something and get calendars made up. (We do the photo ones)
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend until DS got a stomach virus. We spent friday and saturday under quarantine. I felt so bad for him. Finally sunday he was able to hold food down.
Holiday shopping would be better is UPS and USPS would stop losing my shit }:(

@singingsea Make sure to call UPS and USPS and bug them like mad. It was the only way I finally got my package from FedEx...someone on the third call put 2 and 2 together and my package got to me two days later. It's so annoying.
Our weekend was actually quite nice. I met up with two college friends for brunch on Saturday, DH spent most of the weekend cleaning and organizing the garage (with DS "helping"), the baby room is mostly cleared out of all the "non-baby" crap that was in there, and we put up our Christmas lights, decorations, and tree. DS was kind of a mess all weekend - Thursday and Friday at my parents' house made him overstimulated and overtired with everyone in his face all the time and his usual routines out the window. He's still sleeping now...hoping it is the reset button we need.
Christmas shopping is thisclose to done; I need to order DH's gifts and figure out what to get my sis and BIL (the whiny one). I am also waiting for a couple of gifts Amazon wouldn't send to Italy directly to get here so I can send them myself. Bah.
I like both red and blue, dang it. If you make me pick though, I'll go blue...so many pretty shades of blue.
Holiday was ehhhhhhh. Travel itself was fine but staying in a hotel was kind of a mess for my kids. Neither slept well and as a result, they were both kind of monsters by the end of each day (which was basically when we saw most of the family), so fun times! 8-X After we got home, I read this article which totally resonated...hoping to stay mindful of it over christmas. Although we are not traveling, so hopefully that will make things easier.

After much harassment they "found" the package and it's supposed to be delivered to me tomorrow. We'll see.... :!!

@Sagen It was a sweater, but yes, I got it! It's nice and lightweight and very comfortable. I wore it on our vacation weekend a couple weeks ago.
Sorry about your hamster...pets are tough with kids (as I am finding). My dog is lucky that I adore him and I would never forgive myself for giving him up...he is acting out as much as my toddler!
