When to tour the hospital and pack your hospital bag?

So as I'm approaching my 3rd trimester, which is next week. I wanted to schedule my hospital tour for the same day as my doctors appointment but I couldn't get it for that day since all the slots are taken up. So I have to wait until 3 weeks later and since this pregancy is taken a lot on me I'm scared my doctors going to put me on bedrest and I won't be able to tour the hospital. So I guess to put my mind at ease I was wondering when did everyone else take the tour, I didn't know if I should take it sooner since its with twins you know?

Never took a hospital tour - I was in the hospital on bedrest at 23,5. I don't know how valuable a hospital tour is really....

Packed bag a few days before scheduled induction, but again, had been in the hospital for 8 weeks prior so we knew exactly what we'd need....we thought

I took my hospital your really super early - like 17-18w bc I was thinking about switching hospitals so I needed to make that decision early.

I didn't have a bag packed before I went into labor w the twins. I packed my bag while in labor w my singleton. It wasn't a big deal.

I would have everything done before 28 weeks... I ended up on bedrest at 27

I am 29 weeks and have not done the tour yet!! I better get on that!

I toured around 30 weeks. By then I couldn't stand to be on my feet long and DH pushed me in a wheel chair

I also never finished my hospital bag and delivered unexpectedly at 35w. I think the beginning of the third tri is beginning to push it for anything with twins. I'd say getterdone!

We did our hospital tour last week, I was just about 27w. We decided to get it out of the way early. I'm a planner and I feel better when I know where I'm going (what entrance), what to expect, etc. Haven't put much thought into a bag yet though!

I haven't done a tour yet and likely won't even though the hospital has changed dramatically since my son was born there 4 years ago. I've had my hospital bag packed since 32 weeks.

We are taking our tour next week I'll be about 26.5 weeks. With the holidays it was the best option, their next tour isn't until the end of January and I knew I wouldn't be up for it then. I don't think you can ever do it too soon.

I would recommend packing your bag on the earlier side and having it in the car when you go in for doctors appointments. My husband and I went to a doctors appointment at 35 weeks and 3 days for a non stress test and were admitted/induced that day due to high blood pressure (blood pressure had been normal during entire twin pregnancy). It was great having my bag already in the car...one less thing to worry about!

When did you install your car seats? Was it easy for DH to just have that done while you waiting to be released from the hospital?
I'm such a planner.....

Don't install your car seats too early, incase they are involved in an accident and you would then need to replace them.

I don't mean this in a snarky way at all so please don't take it that way, but is touring the hospital necessary? Like, what kind of information is important to know? Just wondering because I hadn't planned on doing this at all...
