This morning was the first morning I simply could not button my pants. Even if I could, I would have been uncomfortable. Luckily I had two belly bands purchased a month ago. They were my lifesaver today. Surprisingly the pants are staying on. I'm only 10 wks and 2 days.
Me too! I'm 13 weeks and was so uncomfortable trying the elastic band thing with my jeans. I bought a belly band, today is the first day with it and I love love love it!
Maybe I'm doing the belly band thing wrong...it does not hold up my jeans what so ever...I've heard they're a lifesaver but it just feels, weird to me. Do you just let your zipper go down and the band holds your pants in place? I got the Bella band from Target. Should I try a different more supportive one?
I've been wearing mine since 6w (had some serious bloat going on, second baby, no shame!). That thing rocks my socks. I broke down and ordered some maternity jeans/work pants during the black friday sales though because the prices were great. But I think I can get away with the band and my regular pants for quite a while too.
@klew512 when you belly isn't too big, you have to fold the band over in half to get it to really hold your pants up. Also, does yours have the rubber strip on one end? I put that end down (essentially wearing it upside down), and then fold over, with my jeans unzipped all the way. Helps keep it from riding up. It just looks like I have a long tank top on under whatever I'm wearing.
I just picked up the target brand (like just got it moments ago). I cant wait to try it--I def. need it for my work days. Glad to hear its working for you ladies

I have the same brand. I'm not crazy about them at all. They are more uncomfortable than anything, I think. I'm going to try @maplebaby's ideas and see if if helps.
I wore one for the first time the other day and I loved it! It held my jeans up and it was so nice not having a zipper/button pushing against my belly (and bladder!). I ordered mine from Amazon. It was Bella Band's Women's Everyday Bella Band. It comes with the rubber strip on one end that helps keep the band and jeans in place!
Hey ladies, silly question but I'm not sure what size to get? I normally fit a small in my normal clothes. Did you go a size up with bella bands or just go with your normal size?

From the last go-around it would seem that the "knock off" bands by Motherhood and Target really don't do a great job. I'm all for cheaper - I tend not to care too much about brand, but in this instance, I think the Bella Band itself seems work a lot better than the come-afters.
I moved all (but one pair) of my pants & jeans up to the attic last week. I'm just done with pants! It's leggings and tunics from hereon out. I wore fairly tight skinnies to begin with, so even unbuttoned they were uncomfortable around my thighs, etc.
I LOVE my belly band. I have targets brand and just bought a small like I normally wear. I've been wearing it every day for 2 weeks because pants that are buttoned put too much pressure on my stomach and made me nauseous. It works like a charm. Yeah, sometimes if I bend over too much my butt crack will hang out when the band rides up, but hey what can ya do? Haha!
I have target's band and I loved it - but my bloat is so out of control I've moved full on into leggings and tunics territory. It worked great while I used it!
I hated the band- I think I used it for a week with DS. I just went straight to maternity pants. They are too big, but I was hiking up my regular pants anyway.

So the way I've been doing it, yeah I leave the zipper all the way down. Belly band goes over top of the zipper part, so that it's covered, and since I'm only like 11 weeks, I have it doubled over.
It felt a little weird at first, but if you get the right size for it, it's worked really well for me and yep, totally keeps my pants up.

I like going straight to maternity pants than anything in between as well.
I just tried some of my maternity pants on today because, well, Cyber Monday sales were sucking me in and I wanted to know if I ACTUALLY needed more jeans. I learned I don't, but man I forgot how much more comfy they are! Probably going to start wearing them out again.
I wore my (too big) maternity pants today. With DD I never did have to switch to maternity pants - I wore them more for comfort on lazy days than due to necessity as my regular pants felt fine, but I carried really high (as in she was up in my ribs right until delivery) and this time I feel like it is all down low - basically right at my c-section scar so it's kind of a new experience for me lol
I just bought a couple of these at Motherhood Maternity on Friday since we were at the mall. I don't feel like I need to wear it yet but definitely want to be prepared when I do need it! The ones I bought are one size fits all...is better to get one with a specific size?
First day wearing mine too! I've been using an elastic band on the button for the last 3 weeks, but it was stretching a bit too much - couldn't risk having it break in a meeting or something haha
Loving the belly band today though! So comfy, and adds a layer of warmth that I need right now too(-25C in Northern Alberta today).
