FTM here, my shoot it booked for week 27. So it's on the line between 2nd and 3rd trimester. But the date just happens to be our 10 year wedding anniversary, so we're renewing our vows. It was planned before we knew we were pregnant, so the couples shoot just turned into a maternity shoot, since we'll be all dressed up and have a photographer there anway.

My friend who is doing mine told me she wanted to do them in January sometime. That way you're a little closer so your belly is bigger and you're typically you're not too tired. So I'm just going with whatever she decides. Lol

I did 3rd tri with DS because I didn't really show before then and I wanted an obviously pregnant belly. I had them done a little over a month before DS was born. I'm showing much sooner with this one, so if I have them done at all, it will be sooner than that.

I did them at 29 weeks with DD. It was good timing, I still looked pretty normal except for the bump. Later in my face and legs were pretty swollen and I know I wouldn't have been thrilled to have that captured for posterity.

I did them at 31 weeks last time. I had a nice round bump, and wasn't swollen in the face. I would not do them after 35 weeks.

I can't stand how I look when pregnant and hide from the camera even the HDBD threads. I know it's not healthy but improving my pregnancy appearance self esteem is low on the priority list.

I wish I would have done mine earlier, we waited so long that I felt huge and not photogenic! I don't know if I'll do any again this time but I never look at the ones we did. Oh well!

FTM, I've talked with a photographer about doing them late February. I don't want to wait until the very end, but I do want to have a nice bump which could take a while as I'm hardly showing yet. I'll be around 31-33 weeks when we get them done.

I voted camera shy. I'm not, I just hate the concept of maternity photos for some reason.

I did them at 33 weeks with DD. I think I'll time it about the same this time around which will be early March.

Thanks for the input ladies. I think I'm scheduling ~ 28 weeks. That's in a little more than a month. I want to catch my belly button as an innie before it becomes an outie

I think I had mine done on like feb 2 or something with DS and he was born on the 28 (8 days late), so I guess I was like 38ish weeks lol. I was probably a little puffy. But I love my pictures

I feel like mine were done around 36 weeks. It was great, but insanely hot at the end of July. I don't know when we will get pictures done this time. Probably mid march or so.

I would rather spend the money on badass newborn pictures. This is what we did with DD, and I'm so glad.

As a photographer I usually suggest between 28-32 weeks. But it's mostly about whenever you're most comfortable. You want to feel good! I didn't get any with DS1 and with DS2 we did them at 30 weeks! I will probably get them at 28-30 weeks this time around too since I feel huge already!
