I experience this exact same pain on top of sciatica. Your ligaments in your legs are loosening and your sacrum could be severely out of place. At least that's the case for me. Last pregnancy I went to PT and the chiropractor. This time I'm only going to the chiro since I know what exercises to do to help strengthen and alleviate the pain.merebears said:Hey all! Anyone else have crazy leg/groin pain? I had it with my last pregnancy, too (this will be baby #2). I was diagnosed with sciatica and went to physical therapy, which helped a bit, but I'm convinced there is little I can do and that it's not truly sciatica, but moreso just my hips widening, putting pressure on my pelvis. Anyone else experience this and have any tips or tricks to share?

Luckily, I haven't dealt with it this pg yet but this baby is breech where my son was always head down and very low. Which I think contributed to the pain.
Best of luck!
What in the world is lightening crotch? My pain is on my inner leg, groin area, but I wouldn't say it is sharp, shooting pain most of the time. I have a pillow at night between my legs and am careful about balance (like keeping my legs together when getting in and out of bed or the car). I also started sitting on an exercise ball at work. I honestly think there is little that seriously helps...just something that will pass in time (at least that was the case last time I had this).
I also sleep with a pillow, try not to sit or stand for too long, get up with knees together and I sometimes suck in my gut, just to lift the weight of the baby off my pelvis for a bit. Seems to help a bit. Going to try heating pads next! Thanks ladies!
