Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome?

And here is why I bring this up: I think it was March or April of last year my SO went to the ER for dizziness and chest pain. After some testing they determined he had WPW and if he hadn't gone in when he did he could've died. They ended up stopping and restarting his heart then monitored him all night until his surgery the next day to burn off the extra electrical piece of the heart he had. The doc said the surgery had a high success rate and he shouldn't have any further problems but the studies regarding the condition are not definitive as to whether or not this is hereditary. To everyone's knowledge no one in his family ever had heart problems. I've been meaning to bring this up to my OB but could not remember what it was called and I just wanted some insight as to whether or not you would mention it. I feel like if anything they at least need to know my SO had the condition but I'm not sure if they would plan to check for it after birth or just not worry about it. Any advice?

I would tell dr. I said in passing to my Perintologist my H had infant brother die from heart defect at 6 months. He scanned every cm of my babies hearts to make sure they were fine. This wasn't even a parent connection. So must be important.

Definitely tell your doctor. If they don't think it's a concern great, but it may be something they can look at on your ultrasounds. The more information you share with the doctor the better.
