Weekend Recap Post

Plans?  Recap of the weekend?

Our entire family is recovering from a crappy bug for the last two weeks.  After a full week of symtpoms for me I finally went to Urgent Care on Thanksgiving and begged for antibiotics thinking that if they helped and I felt better then I would take DD in and do the same.  They checked her tubes at that time and they were in place and clear so that was good.  Well two days later I don't feel much better so the dang thing must be a supervirus so I cancelled DD's appointment and we are just sticking it out. 

And of course I work.  It is a sinus infection so I doubt I am contagious at this point but definitely not on my A Game.  Plans for this weekend are to survive work and plotting my daycare schedule for the month so I can plan a cleaning day to get Christmas stuff out.  I am so excited to do this this year since DD will just start to get it. :)

    DH and I dropped of DS at my parents this afternoon for a sleepover. Then we went to a matinee of the Hunger Games new movie with a couple of friends. Tonight we went to DH's work Christmas party. He continued onto the bar with his super drunk co-workers and me being pregnant and sober I came home to watch a girly movie on Netflix and eat leftover popcorn. 

    Tomorrow we plan on hanging Christmas lights then picking up DS from my parents. I've also got four photo transfers onto canvases that I'm doing as gifts so I may do that tomorrow morning too. Depending on how early I get up.

    Our weekend consisted of decorating for Christmas and a false alarm trip to the hospital. I started spotting Friday night, but was not having contractions. My doctor thinks it may have been part of my mucus plug. I have to follow up on Tuesday. I am praying this little girl comes soon. Her head is literally right there, as confirmed in the hospital, and I am in so much pain and so uncomfortable. I can barely walk or do much of anything.

    @emja0214 keep us posted! When is DD#2 due?

    Our weekend has been pretty boring. Friday we had pizza and a playdate with some friends and their son, Saturday DH worked and I watched some football. Today DH took DD out of town with him :( He's going hunting on my sister and BILs property and took DD with him for his mom to watch. I know she will be fine and I actually have a ton of grad school work to do, but I am definitely going to miss her. Not having to worry about taking her to and from a sitter and having time to myself will definitely be nice, but I am eagerly awaiting their arrival back home.

    Also, DH told his parents this weekend that we are expecting again. I guess they weren't super surprised. Somebody posted a comment on Instagram (actually a #jan13mamas mom, but not one who posts here often) that was leading about can't wait to see #2 and DH's little cousin picked up on it and asked about it! I deleted the comment and a comment from a friend asking about that comment quickly, but apparently not quickly enough! Oh well. I still need to tell my parents too. Was hoping to over Thanksgiving but didn't have any time "alone" with them. Since we don't have our first U/S until Dec. 11th (at 12 weeks which is taking fooooreeever) I'm not keen on sharing with the world yet. 

    And this was long, sorry guys! Hope you all have a happy Sunday :)

    @chilibeansm0m I definitely was hoping no one saw it! But oh well. A few of my cousins follow me on IG too, but neither of them have said anything to me. I don't think they follow my posts super close so hopefully the cat's still in the bag for my side of the family. I actually am not super looking forward to telling my side. I know they will be happy for me, but my mom always makes comments on how she's so happy her kids are 3 years apart and how she wouldn't have them any closer--so I'm afraid she'll think it's "too soon" even though they will be almost 2.5 years apart. And my sister, oy, she's not a fan of anything that takes attention away from her. If I didn't feel so bad I'd just announce to her via Christmas card, lol. 

    I am feeling pretty good. Definitely more nauseous this time around than with DD but it is manageable for the most part. Just ready for my U/S to confirm that everything is ok! I ordered DD a "big sister" shirt from an etsy store that was having a black friday sale, super excited to put her in it.

    @ohiodoxiemama08‌ DD2 is due the 18th, but my cervix has already shortened and softened. I am slightly dilated. I know this can last awhile, but I just keep telling myself it is some sort of progress and hoping that she comes soon. I really do not know how much more I can take. I hoping for good news at my follow up on Tuesday.

    Yesterday ran errands and picked out a Christmas tree so we can have everything set for RCS tomorrow.

    Today we actually put the tree up and got out last minute stuff for babies. Pack n play, bath tub, last load of baby laundry.

    @ohiodoxiemama08‌ I actually saw that all happen but of course didn't say anything. I felt SO bad when I saw some on ask if that person was sharing some news! Hopefully things haven't been too awkward. I totally understand how hard it can be to keep TB stuff from other social media. Eek, can't wait to hear when you are 'out!' ETA: by the way, that jan13mama is super sweet. We definitely all have to try super hard to keep our bumpie lives separate!

    For me - DS is really sick. I am honestly clueless. Rashes, red and white spots in his mouth and throat, a small fever (like 100), but is supposedly over his strep. We go to the ent tues for his tubes so hoping we can get answers on the rest of this! We did get some decorations and played a lot as a family!

    A good friend of ours was in town this weekend, so she and I stayed at a hotel in Chicago last night and went out for dinner and drinks!

    I'm fighting a cold, so DD and I grocery shopped and then all three of us watched the Packer game. Very low-key day and I never put real pants on. Take that, weekend!

    @ambmama Oh I know that it was just a slip on her part. I'm definitely not mad about it--just a little unfortunate it got leaked out that way! And apparently quite a few saw it! I am excited to let it be public, just not quite yet!

    I hope T feels better, sounds like you've been dealing with quite a sickness!
