June 2015 Moms

Anyone pregnant after MC or infertility troubles?

hey ladies!!

My husband and I tried for three years to get pregnant! We found out I was pregnant on the 3 year mark. We were about to get pregnant within a few months and then I had the MC at 5 weeks. We were unable to get pregnant again and tried IUI and other fertility treatments. We were told we had less than a 5% chance of getting pregnant on our own.

Now I'm pregnant (no fertility treatments involved) and I was hoping to talk to some ladies in the same boat :)

I have a similar story - We were TTC for about 3 years, started infertility treatments, got pregnant with fertility meds and then had a loss at 8 weeks. While we were waiting for the ok to try again with meds, and got pregnant - NO meds! :) how far along are you? What's your due date? We're 10 weeks, 2 days...due June 22.
  • We had some problems...didn't try for 3 years though. We started trying Aug 2013 and I got pregnant right away - lost it at 6wks. Then got pregnant again March 2014, again, lost it at 6 wks. We decided to see a recommended fertility specialist if we weren't pregnant again by July 2014, even though they say to wait until 3 miscarriages...I was turning 34 in Aug 2014 and we were a bit anxious. Plus, I really didn't want to suffer another loss if it was something within our control. They did some tests (HSG, infectious, etc...) I can back normal except a little bacteria they treated me for with anti-biotics. Then, we found out we were pregnant in Sept.! No fertility treatment either! :)
I was super nervous that we may lose this one again but now I am 12 weeks, feeling pretty confident. You are not alone, many of my friends have tried for years and have also had losses. It's hard and once you are pregnant it makes it tough. But one is eventually going to stick. :)
    Welcome and congrats.

  • You should come join us in the PGAL check in! I didn't have any problems conceiving. We lost our twin sons when I was 19 weeks pregnant in July. This is our second pregnancy and so far so good! Congrats on your little one!

  • Sounds a lot like our story! Tried for one year to get pregnant on our own with no luck. Followed that with two years of various fertility treatments and had 3 "chemical pregnancies". We had out last fertility treatment on 9/11/2013. We found out on 9/26/14 that we were pregnant. It is so weird to think that we got pregnant all on our own almost a year to the date of our last fertility treatment! Crazy!
  • Thanks ladies!!! We are due June 18! I'll have to check out the PGAL thread!

    Super excited for everyone!
  • Sending positive vibes your way :) we have tried for 5 years and 2 mc one missed mc currently 12 weeks today heard heart beat on Monday and a good ultra sound at 8 weeks! Ultra sound on wed can't wait to see my little peanut again!
  • We tried for almost three years and then moved to IVF and got lucky on try #1 and had our son 15 months ago. Our doctors said to try right away for the best chances to conceive on our own. We did that for a few months, then did two IUI and no luck. We took the summer off and planned on doing another IUI in Oct before going back to IVF but we were shocked to find out we were prego on our own as I was waiting for my period to show up before starting meds for the IUI. We are now almost 14 wks along. Good luck with happy and healthy pregnancies to everyone.
  • We tried for 3 1/2 years. We were told we had a 1% chance of getting pregnant on our own. My hubby started seeing a male infertility specialist and was told there was a surgery that could help and we should see results within 3-6 months post op. 6 months later, we found out we are pregnant! It's so exciting after hearing bad news for so long and not getting much hope from the doctors (until the one I mentioned). I'm little past 11 weeks now, so not everybody knows yet, so we cannot wait to tell everybody!
  • It took us about two years to get pregnant. We had unexplained infertility and success with clomid on IUI #3. Currently 13 wks 4 days and couldn't be happier! Congrats to you, as well!
  • We tried fertility and it didn't work and due to endometriosis and pcos I wasn't ovulating. We gave up and started planning trips. I got a horrible stomach bug and thought I was having gallbladder problems and went to the ER. I found out then that I was 10wks.
  • I'm so excited for everyone!! I have my 12 week appointment on Thursday and I'm very excited and nervous to hear the heartbeat! I borrowed our Doppler from work and got to hear it at home at 10w4d!
  • After two healthy daughters we tried for 3 years with some mild infertility treatments. Naturally got pregnant in march lost it at 5 weeks got pregnant again immediately had a missed misscairage..2 months later got pregnant and now I'm a nervous 13 week pregnant lady.
