I noticed a number of the women in the 2WW thread that got BFPs this cycle already had one or more children, which got me wondering what the demographics are in the TTGP forum. And 18 women answered the last half-done TTC# poll despite the title "Do not use" so I figured there is some interest in this [or at least some interest in clicky polls] making it worth redoing with better choices…so the question is:
Only counting your own natural children, what TTC# are you? (Note: For this poll, don't count children you didn't carry such as adopted children, step-children)
TTC #1, 1 possible CP. About 2 ish years ago I experienced pretty severe pain on my left side, bleeding and threw a large clot. I tested and got a squinter some hours later, but I leave open the possibility that a cyst burst and that was an evap line. I was sort if in denial when it happened since we weren't TTC, so I didn't see a physician. I guess I won't ever know for certain.
TTC #1 for a year- no prior losses, never seen 2 pink lines

Why does it matter if the baby was carried by you or not?
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.
@KingLED it seems like a lot of recent BFP already had a kid. Easier if you already had one is the thought behind this I think. Just a poll to see the demographics. I certainly don't think it's anything against adoption, etc!

You're wrong. The chances are the same regardless, and it still seems like a really shitty distinction to make.

Are you trying to find out if women who have had children get pregnant more easily or if women who have never had a miscarriage get pregnant more easily?

I had heard that the chances you'll get pregnant if you already have had children are the same as if you were trying for your first, but I was seeing in the TWW thread that a larger percent of the women with BFPs happened to already have one or more children which contradicted this. My hypothesis was maybe more women with children use the TTGP forum and that would account for the larger numbers of BFPs for women who already have children. But the results of this poll don't confirm that hypothesis - about half of us are working on TTC#1, so it seems like it may have just been chance that more women that already had children this cycle got their BFPs.
A secondary reason for the poll was also to get some data to backup the statement I've seen others make that "lots of women on the TTGP forum have been pregnant before." I wanted to get a rough idea of how many of us in here have been pregnant before, how many times, and how many have experienced miscarriage/cp.
No harm was meant to those who adopt children or have step children. I apologize if I have hurt you and suggest maybe we can do another poll regarding family size in the future.
Thank you to everyone that participated!

@ChuggingWater Thank you for pointing this out in particular. Upon googling the definition of "natural" this morning I learned that it has multiple definitions, one of which is definitely offensive and was not my intention at all, so I will refrain from using that word again.

For me, SS - one child, took 1 year to conceive, no losses. TTA until baby is at least a year old.
Why do you need to know this? How will it help YOU.????
But since you asked TTC#1 3 losses, 2 twin pregnancies, 1 loss at 21 weeks, 1 loss at 6 weeks and 1 CP.
