2nd child, add more diapers?

My mom gave us 36 BumGenius Elementals with DS, and 34 of those are still in basically perfect condition (one has a small hole in the cotton, one has a cracked snap.  Both are still functional.)  We may find, come May, that DS is already potty trained and it may not matter at all, but I was thinking of getting 6 more should that not happen.  

Would that be too many, not enough, or about right?  (With DS, we were doing diapers every other day or more until 10 months just to keep up.)

    1) And they have better colors now too!  I love the Hummingbird one.  :D
    2) He will be 2 1/2 when the baby arrives. 
    3) Not cloth diapering during the newborn size - which was 10 days for DS.  Mentioned cloth diapering during the newborn phase if this one is smaller, and DH nixed that.
