Hey ladies!
I have been getting a pain above my left hip that is sharp feeling. It can hurt really bad sometimes, but goes away once baby moves. I'm 32 weeks now and have been feeling it for a couple weeks of and on. I know it is just normal pregnancy pains but just curious, does anyone know what the baby is kicking? Can any of you tell what position your baby is in?

Re: Pain above left hip bone

  • Sounds like round ligament pain. It's a beast. I recommend a heating pad.

  • My hips are all screwed up from the hormone relaxin - it pops in and out of alignment. My physical therapist has been an absolute blessing.  It's a similar pain to what you're describing, and it hurts when I walk or put weight on that leg.  Some gentle stretching, like butterfly style, can really help.  I also just roll around on a yoga ball to loosen it all up and pop it all back in place.

Hang in there, a few more weeks!

  • Thanks ladies!
  • You could try a maternity 'belt'? I think they sell them at Destination Maternity.
