Green poop

DS is EBF and for the past 2-3 weeks has had green stools. They are not foamy or mucousy they look like his yellow mustard seed poop but just green. Some have been bright green but most are dark.

My pedi thought it was the hind milk/formilk issue but I don't think so since he feeds for 20-25 per side and empties both breasts.

The other thing I saw was the dairy allergy but the green poops didn't start until a week after I cut out dairy ( due to gassiness and fussiness) however I decided to reintroduce dairy and he seems less fussy these days!

I'm at a loss for what's causing his poop to be green? Is it normal for poop to just be green for some babies?

Yes, green poop can be normal -- ESP if you've had certain foods or Vitamins. If not frothy, mucousy, or accompanied by other distress, I wouldn't worry.

This. Our pedi told us as long as it wasn't any of those things and he is happy, it's normal. We did start giving him Gerber Soothe, which is a probiotic, which has seemed to help. Talk to your pedi about it.
