BTDT moms, 2U2 and/or Pregnant after preemie come on in!

I just wanted to see who else is currently in or has been in either or both of these boats? DS is almost 14 months old, he will be about 22 months when the new baby gets here, hopefully. Which brings us to the next issue. DS was born at 32 weeks 1 day, unexplained PTL.

Not going to lie ladies, I am a little uneasy about the prospect of 2u2, we wanted a second, but O took so long to conceive (and we had a little help in the end), I did NOT think I would get KU on my second cycle. More seriously though, I am soooo scared that I will go early again. Everything worked out better than I could have ever imagined, O has no developmental delays and is in the 65% height and 47% weight, but I do not want to relive NICU hell.

So anyone here with me, anyone already survived 2u2 or had a successful full term pregnancy after having a preemie?

  • My DS will be 18months old when this peanut is born.

If I can handle one baby, how much harder is two? (I hope you guys can sense my sarcasm. I'm bracing myself. Hoping my mom can retire and help out but that's wishful thinking on my part)

  • I have 2u2. My girls are 17 months apart and so close I love every second of it. Ava my oldest was also I the nice for about 6 days after birth and it was horrible but thank god Ellia was fine and did not have to go to nicu. Good luck. I really found it to be pretty easy. There are moments now that ellia is 1 and learning how to throw temper tantrums like her big sister but all that as side I wouldn't change it for the world
  • have done the 2 under 2 twice so far and will be moving on to second lot of 3 under 3 (4 under 5 ) when this one is born lol, if you can get them in one matching nap a day it is bliss, yes it has its tough moments but my kids are so close and best buds 95% of the time wouldn't change it for anything

But I have a close friend that had a 29 week baby due to PTL (her water broke, couldn't stop contractions).. this was 5 years ago and she recently (a few months ago) went to 39 weeks with her second child.  I know it probably doesn't ease you because every situation is different, but hopefully yours would be similar.
