TTC After a Loss

**** Weekend Crazy Train ****

This is a thread posted daily for any of us who need to get out our frustrations about waiting to O, the 2WW, or vent about our cycles.

If you find yourself checking FF obsessively, MF is getting the best of you, or you just want to pee on all things, let it out here! In order for the conductors to be better able to help you, please make sure you either have a FF chart link in your sig, or make sure you post a link.

Don't chart? You should consider it, not only will it give you a lot more insight to your cycles, but conductors will be able to answer a lot of your questions just by looking at your chart!

To learn more about charting, check out the charting course that FF offers:https://www.fertilityfriend.com/courses/

The CT is not the place to post a BFP. If you have a "squinter" or if you have a line that appeared after the time frame, please do not post about it here. Take a step back from the board, test again with FMU, and good luck!

  • Can't I just figure out what's going on already?!

My temp has not dropped since last cycle. As in, I'm CD21 and STILL above last cycle's coverline! My pre-o temps are usually below 36.5, but I haven't been below there at all this cycle. I only had about a 24h AF that was really light. I'm definitely not still pregnant, but I FEEL like I am - the "full" uterine feeling, super sore boobs. But I'm not. I had a beta that was below 1.2 just about 2 weeks ago and I've tested since in the off chance I ovulated weirdly and everything is negative. It's like the most cruel trick my body could be playing. Last cycle was a CP and I realize that post-loss cycles can be screwy but the thing is that my hCG was barely high enough to turn tests positive, it would NOT still be effecting me especially since it's been out of my system for weeks.

I hate this. I'm going nuts because I've never had this happen before (in over 6 years of charting, though intermittently.) Has anyone had this sort of thing where their temp stayed at post-O levels all the way through a new cycle?

I think you're really stressing yourself out. My temps are all over the place from one cycle to the next. Try not to compare this cycle to past ones for your own peace of mind. If you don't pick up an O at all and you hit the 60 day mark I think a call to your doc is in order.

Can you post a chart link?

You can ovulate with low levels of HCG in your system but it sounds like you are saying you did not have a temp shift at all. Right now, keep temping and keep testing every few days until AF shows.

ETA - I was looking at your post history.  It looks like you have had back to back CPs already (Sept 19th intro with another loss Nov 4th ish). Please see an OB and get cleared to TTC again. Back to back to back CPs are not good for your body.

  • I can't see an OB. They aren't accepting referrals right now as the wait to see them for anything besides pregnancy is over two years. The fertility specialist for this region quit in the summer.

My CPs are most likely due to low progesterone (dx years ago) which I can't get any treatment for, much to my annoyance, but we're avoiding temporarily anyway. If I do ovulate, it's usually not until CD28-30, so I am not expecting to have O'd again by this point, but I am just aggravated that my temps haven't gone back down at all.

So because you can't get treatment your choosing to keep TTC and having loss after loss? That makes absolutely no sense. What happens when you get pregnant, are you expected to deliver yourself with a wait time of 2 years.

Go to a walk in clinic and ask for a fucking referral. If that doesn't work, see a family doctor and go from there.

I said we are avoiding right now. We are not actively TTC at the moment and when we return to it, I will see my family doctor and discuss things with her and try to convince her to help, but it's kind of pointless at the moment because it's going to be at least a few months since we've benched ourselves. But buggirl said to see an OB - I explained that I can't. They are only taking patients for pregnancy, not for anything else. I have asked several times. Not seeing an OB doesn't mean I have no medical care.
