Gonna go all PG/PP-related on you guys ... PP Belly Binding question

Curious to know who here tried postpartum belly binding and what product they used...good/bad reviews?  I'm looking into it because hey, why not... I'm not under the impression it will be some miracle, but I figured at the very least it would give some nice back/posture support...and since I'm done with kids after this I figured couldn't hurt to try it out.

I've heard about this particular binder/corset called the Squeem and I've been looking into it some and it seems to have a lot of great reviews.... it doesn't seem to be marketed directly to postpartum use, but many people do use it in that way.  So that one is the one I'm leaning towards more as of NOW, and I'd be very interested to hear if anyone has tried this one especially....  If so, I also need some help on sizing as well since I'm still pregnant now and I know there'll still be some postpartum bloating for a little while but it's hard to guess how much/fast it would go down.

The size chart for the Squeem does not account for maternity/post-partum so there's a little bit of guessing that will have to go into it....so that's where the trouble lies.  I THINK I'm trying to decide between an XL and L... My pre-preg pant size was a 12-14 depending on the jean brand, and usually would get size Large in tanks/tops ...especially since I like them long.

For a little bit of a picture on my body shape if that helps with product suggestions or sizing in reference to the Squeem - definitely a pear.  My waist is usually significantly smaller than my lower half and already has the natural curve inwards, rather than going straight down (basically, pre-preg I can usually wear a full size smaller up top than on the bottom if we're looking at number sizes... usually also one size smaller in dress than what my pant is depending on cut)... I have very wide hips, big butt and larger thighs/legs.

Thanks for any input!  Sorry for TL;DR

  • I was looking at the Belly Bandit as well and was discouraged a bit over the complaints of them bunching/rolling down, did you have any issues with that TLex?  And it was the regular one you used I assume?

  • I used a Belly Bandit also! I loved it. From time to time it would bunch up but it was easily readjusted.

  • I have probably a medium torso, so maybe it wouldn't be too bad... hmmmmm

How soon would you say you had to move down in size though? I hate the thought of having to get two of them...blah.

But I suppose that's the reality with any of them.
