I posted this on my BMB, but no one has responded...thought maybe someone here may be able to help

Any mamas with VBAC experience...is there anything I can necessarily do to help prepare my body for a VBAC? Meaning, were there specific exercises/stretches you did? Did it just "work for you"....was your VBAC baby smaller? My doctors are supportive, as long as the baby is of "compromisable" size. And yes, I plan to ask my doctor the same question, I just hesitate because my last doctors were very cesarean pushy...and I just want honest advice as to anything I can do to encourage my body to work this time!
I don't know if this is a pointless question, and there is nothing I really CAN do...but I'm just really not wanting a RCS.
Any advice helps...thank you
*UPDATE*
Spoke with my doctor, and she was amazing. She said they are definitely on board, and the practice is very pro-VBAC. It was a great talk and I feel SO. MUCH. BETTER.
Thank you so much for the advice ladies!!!!!
Edit:update and hit save before I was done.
Re: Any VBAC experienced J13 mamas? *UPDATE*
Superb info. That's what I was basically thinking, it's going to work or it won't and I can't prepare, but I didn't have an easy csection recovery, my incision re-opened, and I can't imagine doing that with a toddler. I'm just trying to do everything I can to possibly prevent it.
Thank you so so much for responding!
My doctor was also pro csection, and i should have known better. I was induced two weeks past my due date, and made it to 10cm, pushed for 2 hours, but the baby wouldn't move down, and after 29 hours of labor, the doctor said he could try the vacuum or csection. The baby was never in danger...but the doctor was tired of waiting I assume.
Baby was 8lbs 12oz.
I have done good all the way up until now, I guess as it gets closer...and just letting my anxiety get the best of me
I truly appreciate the advice!
The tea didn't help me last go round
@stephyfaith
I am going to have a serious talk with them Monday
Thank you for the advice ladies
I have a VBAC with DS2 and I think the key points would be:
1. Supportive doctor
2. Believe you can
And basically just keep active, eat healthy, keep the right mindset.
Good luck!!
I am beyond grateful for the responses and help. I just LOVE you ladies
posted before I read all of the comments about the tea. I do agree with pp's regarding finding a doctor who is supportive of your decision.
To prepare, I drank RRL tea and took evening primrose oil. DD1 was breech presentation, so when DD2 turned head down, I walked every day to make sure she stayed in position.
I also prepared myself for the possibility of a RCS. I was told if i didn't go into labor by week 40, they would schedule me for a RCS by week 41. I could have been induced before that if my cervix was favorable. I also delivered in Boston, so I think they are a bit more progressive than other parts of the country. Luckily, I went into labor on my own.
Good luck!
You are amazing! Thank you so incredibly much for posting this.
I am at the doc now (sugar test) and am ready to discuss the topic head on. Praying she is supportive...I think that's all that will hold me back. I don't want to be induced unless medically necessary and I definitely don't want to do any scheduling earlier than 40 weeks. I'm terrified but trying to keep my game face on!
