Sweet potato casserole fail?

I was told to bring one thing to dinner tomorrow... Sweet potato casserole. I've never made it before and was going to prep tonight and bake tomorrow. I cut into the potatoes and they are all yellow, not orange. Google tells me these are still sweet potatos, but more starchy. Should I just keep going? Is yellow sweet potato casserole weird?

They will taste perfectly fine

Cook them and see what happens. They'll probably darken. If not, they'll probably still taste the same.

I already baked them skin on, and found out they were yellow after that. Oh well, hopefully this comes out.

Sweet potatoes are more yellow and yams are more orange. You can't go wrong with either, especially when mashed with butter and sugar.
