Flu shot reactions

DS did great with his first round of the flu vaccine, no fever, fussiness or anything. He had round two today and he's already had two doses of Tylenol and cried inconsolably for an hour. I just hung up with the triage nurse who said it's pretty common.
Did your LO have their second round? Was their reaction different or the same from the first?

No reaction from the second shot. Same as the first. Hope your LO feels better!

Aww poor baby. I second the motrin it's worth a try! We are currently dealing with some pretty bad side effects to the DTAP shot. DS has had bad diarrhea abd has refused to eat or drink anything except for a little water for. 24 hours. Currently waiting for him to wake up and see if he feels any better or if I need to make a phone call to the doc. Maybe try some cold compresses perhaps his little leg hurts. My doc said if he cries for 3 hours straight after shots to bring him. Not sure if that's standard or just her way. Good luck! !

Thanks for the advice-his fever seems to have broken but he's so fussy! He's never really reacted to a shot before, this caught me off guard!

No problem with the first. She got the second on Tuesday and it took me 2 hrs to get her to sleep last night, only for her to wake an hour later. I slept with her the rest of the night. Glad to hear she is not the only one.
