Dill dip straight out of my Better Homes and Garden's cookbook (classic)
Corn casserole (doesn't look like much, but it's amazeballs. Huge crowd favorite, always have to make 2)
Port wine cheese ball rolled in slivered almonds.
Stuffed mushrooms drizzled with melted butter
Coconut cream pie (not a pumpkin pie fan. Also making southern pecan)
Spinach and artichoke dip with toasted bread rounds and almost double the amount of cheese it calls for. It's pretty heavy so I serve it early.
I'd normally go all out, but Thanksgiving is at my sister's house this year. Will be making our own turkey next weekend just for leftovers. We make Hoo Hash which is leftover turkey, mashed potatos and dressing/stuffing pressed/formed together, pancake style and fried in butter then drizzled with turkey gravy. Oh dude, it's disgustingly bad for you but oh-so tasty.
I'm making struseled sweet potato casserole and chocolate pecan pie to take to the ILs' today. Then on Saturday I'm making turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, fresh cranberry sauce, and roasted Brussels sprouts...just for our little fam because I love cooking and I love turkey leftovers.
