early weekend sunshine

Today was one of those magical days and I'm feeling all sappy and teary with how much I love my little family right now so I figured I'd start this a little early.

Dh is working so hard to provide for us while I stay home. He never pressures me to go back to work, but he does ask about what I might want to do and how we can make that happen when I'm ready. Charlie is growing so fast and really beginning to interact a lot with his sister. His sleeping is so much better and we are all happier. Catherine spent most of her day acting out scenes from her favorite movies. I am by turns the princes, the bad guys, and evil stepmothers. I have zero problem with this, except when she tries to French kiss me. I managed to feed us all healthy meals, get the grocery shopping done, and do the dishes today. I feel accomplished and peaceful. As soon as Catherine is asleep, dh and I are going to watch the second Thor movie. Awesome way to start a weekend.

We have been wanting to move for several years. When we bought our house 8 yrs ago, we thought we'd be here 2-3 years. Cue economy crash. We've "looked" at several houses in better areas around town, but either it's not enough space, or we can't afford it. A seemingly perfect house has come available as a result of a relo, but it's priced to sell bc the company that relocated the family is selling it, and they are asking just what the previous owners owed. Not looking to make a profit. The downside is, at this price it'll sell quickly so we don't have any time to sell our house first, as there's no contingency option. Anyhow, before we even went to see it in person (bc we new we would fall in love), we called our mortgage company to see if, by any chance, we would qualify for an additional loan so we could potentially buy the new house, move in, then get our house clean while it's empty and get it on the market for a quick sale at a low price, just to pay off our existing mortgage. We knew it was a long shot, but last night we called...and were preapproved. We are going to see the house today. There's an open house tomorrow, so we are hoping to be able to get our offer in today if we like it. It may not pan out, but as of right now it's looking promising. We are busting at the seams where we are...this house is double the size, and in a great neighborhood AND my kids wouldn't have to change schools. So that's my little bit O' sunshine at the moment. Fingers crossed, ladies!!

Good luck @MarciP83! We are in a similar situation with our house so I know how excited you must be!!

My sunshine is that I sold both our baby swing AND mamaroo yesterday. One step closer to having my living room back!

I did some retail therapy today. Finally got an area rug for the living room, new toaster oven, sheets for our bed, a fleece jacket for me, and two Christmas outfits for LO. :-)

I took DD to go visit grandma and her cousins today! It was so nice to be with family, and DH got some time to himself with which he used to get all of the laundry done and the house spotless! It's currently snowing outside, but DH is rocking LO to sleep and I'm bumping while drinking hot chocolate spiked with whipped vodka... Mmmmm fantastic day!

We are getting another puppy from the same doggie parents as our beloved Izzetoot and got the first pics of the little guys today! They are 2 weeks old! Soooo cute!

Thanks @CAMag‌ and @Savvy122‌ ! We put in our offer on the house yesterday! I also had a job interview yesterday :-/ unfortunately if we wanna move, Momma's gotta go back to work. Guess we shall see!

@CAMag‌ and @Savvy122‌ we signed a contract on the house!! I know nothing is 100% certain until closing, but as long as nothing crazy happens it looks like we will get to move in right after Christmas!!
