"You don't even look pregnant!"

Isn't this the most asinine comment you've heard?? I feel like that's all my family has been telling me. Good! I hope I dont (yet), I'm only carrying a raspberry! I feel like there's this preconceived notion that you're supposed to start showing right away, which is probably why there are so many "I swear I'm showing!!!" threads. #nope

  • Well...my brother was the exact opposite the last time telling me I have a belly. I had to explain to him that it is only a poop baby lol.

With my previous pregnancy at 8 weeks my wonderful FIL decided to tell me "I was glad to hear that you at pregnant. You are getting fat" Thanks asshole! Best part is I had dropped 3 pounds by that point due to morning sickness. I'm not a big person. I was just wearing a loose shirt.

edit: words are hard and snow is cold.

  • Why do people think it's ever ok to comment on a woman's weight?? OP glad to hear your little raspberry isn't showing yet! I only gained 20 lbs last pregnancy and had a cousin ask me over and over if I was having twins. Again...why?!?
  • People keep telling me, "Oh your bump is so cute I can't believe you're showing, it must be because you're so skinny" Literally every single one of them I look at and say "Nah, its's just poop. But thanks." Their faces are hilarious after that. I usually get these blank stares.

  • WTF. Although I have had people ask me several times if I was pregnant prior to conceiving, both times I had a beer in hand. Mind you I am 95 lbs so I am not sure where this imaginary baby bump was
  • HaHa. I totally understand making this comment... when it comes from my DD who just turned 5. From anyone over about 10 years old, really?!?!
