All this talk of pie and the fact that my Thanksgiving will be tomorrow because I'm in retail and work on real Thanksgiving, makes me want to show off my pie I made!

French silk pie anyone? The crust is lopsided but it's all from scratch

Your pie;

I am in charge of making green bean casserole (from scratch, no cans here), stuffing balls, cauliflower mashed "potatoes" with toasted sunflower seed topping, and no-bake cheesecake. My dad and I do all the food. I don't eat anything my sister brings (if she brings anything at all) because she is a disgusting human, and my brother is going through a divorce so he gets a pass this year.

I can google it but just curious if anyone has a familiar recipe that you know is good.

I made my pies last night because my parents are showing up today. Figure we can have our first slice tonight!

Also I really wanted more pies so I found some recipes that combined flavors!!! Got a pumpkin pecan pie and apple cranberry pie.

I haven't tried it yet - but I'm going to make this tonight - Ree Drummond's Pecan Pie. t looks fairly simple. I've tried quite a few of her recipes and the fam has really enjoyed them all so far:

I'm trying my hand at a pumpkin cheescake this year.... I'll be doing that this afternoon/evening.

I buy my pie crusts pre-made because I don't have a pastry cutter so my dough always turns out pretty horrid.

I think pecan pie is the devil. And also, I hate the debate between whether it's "pee-cAn" or "pee-cahn".

I've never tried because I don't like the way it looks but DH loves it so I told him I would try. I love pecans, though!
