Trouble TTC

WTF Wednesday

I'm posting a little early. GL to all the women who are arriving at family's houses or who have family coming in town today.

My WTF goes to work and to the random homesickness for my hometown of Phoenix. I know I'm idealizing it in my memories, but I miss it nonetheless. There just isn't any place like it.

  • WTF to both my OB and my current RE. It took my going to a new PCP yesterday to discover my DHEA-S has never been checked.  Nor my fasting glucose.  I knew they'd neither of them checked my free/total testosterone levels or given me a glucose tolerance test, but I kind of assumed (for some stupid reason) that one of them would've checked SOME androgen level, or at least looked into what my fasting blood sugar is.  You know.  With PCOS and all. (Less crucial but still interesting is that neither felt the need to check my cortisol or cholesterol either, apparently.)  WTF, how does that even happen?
@Bluefairy5 - This is so ridiculous. I'm tired of feeling like I have to do my doctor's job for them and research stuff that I feel they aren't doing right (half the time they aren't). Since you have PCOS they should be doubly cautious about things like blood sugar. When stuff like this happens I just want to be like WHY THE FUCK am I paying you so much money when you aren't even doing your damn job? *sigh*

  • @katers79 that is completely inappropriate.  I second what @BlueFairy5 said about going to your HR department.  If you work in any larger company I'd imagine there MUST be some sort of confidentiality rules.  I'm so sorry that happened to you.  An early TP to your manager!

@kushie77 I always loved that about NE PA.  You'd think anyone living in that region a reasonable amount of time would know how to handle snow, but nope, they always treat it like the end of days.  Here in the mid-atlantic people aren't as used to big snowstorms, and it always cracks me up when the grocery store shelves get cleaned out when they predict like 2 inches of snow.  Calm down folks!

I am going to WTF myself for being so disorganized this year.  Thanksgiving totally snuck up on me.  I'm usually totally anal about prep and lists and shopping, but with everything going on this year I keep realizing I forgot things!  I was supposed to have all the shopping done this past weekend, but instead of I've had to make a trip to one store or another every day this week due to something I forgot.  This included a pre-work 7am trip to Wal Mart this morning.  Get it together girl!

Cycle 1 (Dec. 2014) TI with Clomid, Trigger, & Progesterone CX due to no response
Impatiently Waiting CD1 to try again with Fermara Back on the bench due to giant cyst,
who know I'd ovulate on my own after a cancelled cycle and end up with a mega cyst :(

  • I really wanted to save this for TP Thursday but being Thanksgiving tomorrow I chose to be thankful not hateful lol. Soooo here goes my WTF.

My BFF knows about my infertility troubles. I told her when I first found out. She wasn't really supportive. I got the "it will happen", "don't be negative", "my friend had troubles and she just got pregnant", "go drink and then jump in bed..I'm sure it will help". Okay awesome thanks...not. So for the past three or so months I've distanced myself. Every time she would call or text it'd always be about herself and this boy she's obsessed with but his feelings aren't mutual. So I took a break from her. I couldn't stand listening to her and this boys drama (mind you...it's been going on for a year now). She never acknowledged my infertility journey. Well we started hanging out again and it's been great. Except the other night she called me with...you guessed it....more drama with this boy and her. I listened on the phone for an hour and gave her again, so much support. When she was finished I started telling her about my horrible reaction to my trigger injection and how I have to go in nearly once a week for blood draws (she knows I'm terrified of needles). Her response "it will happen girl. Just keep thinking positive. Alright well I'm gonna get going so I'll talk to you later."

I'm so over it. WTF. Thanks for being SO supportive. I almost wish I would have responded to her rants with "he's just not that into you. Get over it." Butttttt I'm sorry that I'm a better friend than that and really have tried for a YEAR to be supportive. Apparently, she can't return the favor when I need support.

  • My WTF goes to my bosses.
1st WTF my huge major boss who owns the funeral home I work out came down on Monday and added all new prices and packages. He told me to update the price list etc. So I spend all day Tuesday adding all the packages and updating prices. Then he tells me he doesn't want any of the packages in there just the itemized prices. Seriously you could have saved me 5 hours of work there!
2nd WTF to my normal boss (manager of the funeral home and funeral director) He didn't want to come in yesterday so he called another funeral director to come in. We got a death call and the other funeral director took the call and made an appt for today. He said he would call our boss and let him know and also ask if he could take care of the family. So I didn't call. I walked into work this morning to help with the new prices, on my day off mind you, and get screamed at for not telling him there was a death call. The other funeral director forgot to call him and told him that he asked me to call, which he NEVER did! Seriously other funeral director thanks for putting the blame on me!!

  • @DSculley1824 I hear you about friend who can be so self-centered.  It's usually life's struggles or happy times that let you know who you're real friends are.  My BFF for over 15 years continued to spiral into a ridiculously self-centered attitude that by the time my wedding rolled around it was horrible.  When the bride's maids were planning the bachelorette she actually asked why they would plan something I wanted to, and not just take a majority vote.  Um, you sort of missed the point.  Anyways, needless to say we haven't really spoken since my wedding 4 years ago.  I seriously don't have time for people who don't understand that all relationships consist of more than just one person.  Life people say around here, you have to give support to get it.  Sorry you have to deal with someone like that.

@sammae I LOL'd about your turkey!  Too funny!

My WFT goes to the girl who I interviewed today who seemed to not bother with washing or brushing her hair before coming in.  Seriously this a job interview!  Come on, put a little effort into it!
