Hello, world! Again

Ladies,

I haven’t been active on this board in literally 9 months. I know a lot happened and there is not a remote possibility that nobody remembers me anymore. But in case somebody does….

I wanted to share that J turned 1 two weeks ago. What a year it has been! He was born October 22, 2013; 11 weeks early at 3 pounds 4 oz. In the hospital for two months, he came home on oxygen and a heart monitor on December 13, 2013. The reason I stopped posting is after he came home, I got hit with postpartum anxiety/depression so bad that I thought I would be a danger to myself. Please, if you are ever in that situation, seek help!

Slowly but surely, with the help of my parents, I pulled myself out of it. Going back to work was literally a lifesaver. We have been through a lot. Jonathan is now crawling and trying to stand unassisted. He is transitioning to a toddler room in two weeks. He is a bit small but he is a hearty baby that will give any year old run for his money.

I will try to be a more active participant as work allows. Promise.

Welcome back! Most of us aren't here any more! I've been MIA, myself, lately. Glad you sought help for PPD. That's a serious thing. I had hte baby blues, which was bad enough. I couldn't imagine the struggle you went through. Your son is a beaut! So adorable!

Hello! I do remember you. I am just randomly lurking, I stopped posting also, I wouldn't say I had depression, but I was finding the board to be a little unfriendly at the time I had Indie, and after having a traumatic labour/delivery, I just didn't want to hear about pregnancy/births ever again! But I think I might also pop in ever now and again, although I don't see many names I recognise anymore.
