Gonal F am & pm day 3-10

Trigger with HCG

What was your retrieval numbers and quality?

MDLF was a train wreck for me. I was canceled on day 6 when my e2 had not risen from baseline. I'm DOR, though, so I'm a tricky stimmer.

Oh no @ronniesgirl1982‌ that's unsettling. My AMH level is 1.7 so it's on the low side. I have had 2 cycles, last one my E2 was very low. Oh I hope I don't have another bad cycle. [-O<

@CML11‌ Where are you being treated? My AMH is much lower than yours (most recent was .6something). Both of my second opinion REs said they thought MDLF was the wrong protocol. I'm leaning toward an EPP protcol for my next cycle. However, there are plenty of MDLF success stories out there.

My AMH is .2, they retrieved 9 eggs 7M and 7F. Had to freeze all due to excess fluid in my uterus.

This was my protocol in October that resulted in a BFP.

I will tell you I was very skeptical at first, because I've always done antagonist protocols - 1 cancelled for dominant follicle, 1 cancelled for low response, and third time resulted in retrieval of 13 eggs (8 fertilized). My RE wanted to try microdose protocol to see if I'd get better quality. I didn't respond well at first, and he upped my dosage of menopur to the max. Only 3 fertilized and grew, and we transferred all 3 on day 3. The entire cycle I was positive it wouldn't work. I'm still a bit in shock that it did.

    October 2014 IVF (micro-lupron protocol: mircrolupron, Menopur, Follistim, dexamethasone): 8 eggs, 4 mature, 3 fertilized w/ICSI; 3 transferred day 3 = BFP! Beta 1=121; Beta 2=287; Beta 3 =678. Miscarriage @ 8w2d. :(

I had a poor response to this protocol, too, though my best fertilization rate: only three retrieved, but two out of the three fertilized normally. We transferred two, but I still had a BFN, so we moved back to the antagonist and added in EPP and implantation protocols.

I am DOR (AMH 0.2). I had five eggs retrieved for my first IVF cycle with MDLP back in April, four were mature, three transferred and one frozen. BFN.
We are doing another MDLP right now. RE wanted to do estrogen priming protocol (EPP) but that takes two cycles in total and the clinic is closed in December so we had to wait until January for that one and I wanted to move forward. We decided to give MDLP another shot.
There are success stories with both protocols. Based on my extensive reading, it is likely that some people produce more eggs with EPP compared to MDLP but often MDLP produces better quality eggs than EPP. But everybody is different. If this one fails, we'll try an EPP protocol

    What is the EPP protocol?
  • Options
EPP= Estrogen Priming Protocol. You use an estrogen patch, like Vivelle, starting 10 days after your LH surge and do three days of the Ganirelix/Centrotide injections starting on the second day. Then have your period, and then start your stimming. As my RE explained it, it helps suppress you, so you can have more even growth of your follicles without over suppressing like BCPs can. I was supposed to do EPP for this cycle, but had my LH surge late and AF came before I could start the patches, so we went straight into stimming and I ended up with a dominant follicle.

@ronniesgirl1981‌ being treated in NH satellite office and MA for the ER/ET.
I read I should be at 2.25 for my age, but I guess from further research I'm in actually within range.
