Food Cravings and Disappointments

I'm not even 6 weeks yet and my cravings are getting a bit annoying. One night I'll be feeling some crispy fresh veggies and another time I craving junk food.

So I'm at target today, and we went grocery shopping yesterday, and I'm about to check out and I'm feeling a pizza from the snack bar. I look from where I am in line and there's one cheese pizza left.... I checkout and look up and this very large lady is buying my pizza.

I'm normally not like this, but I'm thinking "geez lady I needed that pizza way more than you! Couldn't you have gotten the pasta!"

I just ate a quesadilla And chips and salsa at home from what we had already. I'm full but completely unsatisfied.

This sucks!

Is this what I have to look forward to for the next 8 months?

I didn't think I really had cravings...but then my husband asked me to look at my dinner plate. I had corn and pickles on it. hmm..

I don't mess around when it comes to pizza. Should have "tapped" her with your shopping cart.

I am not a beer drinker, and can't even stand the smell. (Margaritas, however - HELLO, DOLLY!) Last night after I got in bed, all I could think about was the smell and taste of beer. I wanted one. BAD.

That sucks. Tonight I really wanted yellow birthday cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. No way I was making a cake that close to bed so alas, no cake for me.

I went grocery shopping day without a list and while hungry. Bad move. I left with fruit, juice, 2 bags of chips and chocolate almonds.... No 'real' food!

Omg. I had the biggest craving for guac the other night...send hubby grocery shopping at 10 or so to make me some...only to find out that cilantro is absolutely repulsing to me now.... Today I just eat...everything.

Same for me. I have a TON of snack foods and 3 different types of dipping sauces for apples, I got the chocolate trail mix, and different chips, cookies. There was some freezer food in the cart but no real produce -_-

All I want is buffalo chicken anything/everything. But once I take a bite. That's it. It doesn't taste the same as I remember it. It's very sad

however my hubby made a ketchup and hot sauce combo for my eggs and that tasted better than straight hot sauce. Baby knows what he wants I guess.

Ps. I hear craving beer means boy (old wives take I know but I think it's interesting stuff).

I'm not a cheese fan at all. Not even American or cheddar. But since the day before I POAS, I have been ravenous for cheese. Like, the good quality stinky kind. I spent like 10 minutes at the cheese shop in Wegmans browsing them and have been eating this Spanish sheep's milk cheese with honey like it's my job. I want it ALL the time. And I don't like cheese!

Someone mentioned pineapple in this thread yesterday, so had I craved since last night, pineapple. I got the big, fresh fruit container, have already eaten half of it, and was reluctant to share with DD.

I am a cheese person. I love trying different cheese/but/cracker combos and I was excited to go wine tasting and learn about wine and cheese combos... But that will have to wait now lol.

But that cheese tho. Cheese pizza, pineapple pizza, grilled cheese, quesadillas... They are all my faves well the other day I was eating a veggies sandwich from subway and there was a part that was a little too much extra cheese and I was like (gag) I'm done.

Anyone else do this: I'll have an intense, specific craving in mind. DH and I will head out to get it or go to said restaurant for dinner. Then, by the time I get there, it will be totally gone, and I'll want something completely different.

Ever since yesterday for whatever reason I am craving champagne! It's driving me insane haha! I would never drink during pregnancy but does any one have any ideas on what I could have as a nonalcoholic version? I'm in the UK so lots of american brands aren't here

if anyone knows anything???

The other night I wanted fresh white cake, with white icing that has the grains of sugar in it, and I wanted the icing to be a bit hardened on the top with 2 scoops of cold hard vanilla ice cream. It was consuming me. But now that kinda grosses me out.

My husband has been too good to me. No matter what I mention, he comes home with it. Last night it was rice and cannolis... VIOLA! On my table when he got home from work. The night before it was chocolate cream pie... check! And another night it was pepperoni pizza and another it was Indian food- Saag Paneer. I could live off of it. He really needs to stop listening to me before I weight 932 pounds!
Ditto on the pineapple AND buffalo chicken cravings too. Completely opposite cravings than with my daughter. Couldn't stomach the smell of curry OR spicy. It was peaches, milk and potatoes straight through.

Anyone else getting totally repulsed by what they ate the next day? On Sunday I had one of those Knorr sides and vinegar potatoes, sounded so good and was pretty good. On Monday, the thought of it made me sick. Yesterday, I had homemade pizza, it was very good but today the thought of it is grossing me out.

@ctygert‌ I hope that wives tale is true;) I have been watching my man drink wine like a starved puppy hahahah! I took a tiny sip of his beer the other night.. It was so good. I've always had a good relationship with beer. But, this is nonsense!

Other than that I don't really crave anything. Food doesn't taste the same though. Some things are heightened and other things are so bland!

This is the way it works when I'm KU.

I fall in love with a food. Last time it was cheesy bean and rice burritos from Taco Bell. And then...they MAKE IT GO AWAY!

Also I want food at irrational hours. Like grape slushies after 10pm when the place closes. Or pizza at 2am. And not the pizza in our freezer. No, no, no. It has to be from Dominos, which is not open.

Me too! I've always had cravings it seems like all the females have them in my family no matter if they are young or old. But I totally know that I'm different now because if I don't satisfy my craving by the next meal I'm super freaking grumpy. I can't go days waiting anymore. It's like I NEED it now

Oh my gosh Taco Bell and dominos sound so good right now!!

Same thing happens to me... last time I wanted a Reese's peanut butter cup sundae specifically from Friendly's... and they closed every Friendly's in a 100 mile radius. I had to wait until I visited family in NH to get one!.... ugh now I want one again!

Taco Bell chili cheese burritos. They were gone for years then came back for a few months this summer. I seriously almost cried when I went to get one and they said they were gone again.

Grrrr now I want Taco Bell, my town has no fast food at all. The closest Taco Bell is 4.5hrs from me, I am almost tempted to drive there just for the disgusting deliciousness. Homemade fajitas will have to do for now

Haha! When I was pregnant with DD I'm pretty sure I ate a whole pineapple once a week.

Wait. 4.5 hours?? Your town doesn't have fast food and you'd need to drive 4.5 hours to get to one??? I feel bad for complaining about a 15-20 minute drive to Wendy's... Driving 4.5 hours would let me visit another state or two or even three.

I've been craving tons of salad and fruit. Olive Garden salad in particular. Went with the husband on Sunday, then I went in by myself to eat the unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks lunch by myself. I want to eat that every day.

Then at night I want a McChicken sandwich.... my husband has orders to pick some up for me on his way home from work.

I feel like I'm constantly hungry and nauseous!! >.<

Also, DH is getting a grape slushy for me on the way home. He doesn't really have a choice.

I've been craving nothing but healthy foods,

well semi healthy.

More or Less... Salad !!

and Greek pasta salad,

plus anything Greek tbh.

its so frustrating because at a point, just last week

i felt sick to even eat any kind of meat.

but now i want everything.

i also keep granola bars in my pockets at work.

im ALWAYS hungry !!

Oh gosh! I made these mashed potato, mozzarella cheese and bacon balls that you shallow fry and I'm almost gagging writing about them now but when I made them they seemed like the best thing ever. Yuck

I use to crave beer when i was pregnant with my son. My ob/gyn said it's ok to give in as long as it's a very small amount and only once in a while. So i was allowed half of a small glass once a week if i was really craving it badly enough.

I woofed down Taco Bell. In my company car. In the parking lot. I haven't had Taco Bell in at least 3 years. McDonalds hasn't met my lips in 10 years. Let just say this...BAD move. Baby does NOT like Taco Hell...
