26 weeks

head of lettuce/scallion/butternut squash

Any upcoming appointments?:

1 hour glucose test today - and I get to find out if I will start going in every 2 weeks!

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?:

This heartburn bs is for the birds. Everything I eat gives me heartburn! I also have hip pain and my legs go to sleep if I sit a certain way. Yay fun.
AW: H's DD loves to kiss my belly and tell us where her "buddah" is. It's adorable!

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?:

Get the room cleaned out and move stuff to storage, put the crib together, get all the essential stuff that we need (car seat, stroller, breast pump, etc.), find a pediatrician... I have a long list!

Any upcoming appointments?: I had an impromptu appointment yesterday for a pain in my side that has been there since Friday. After another ultrasound and 2 hours later, the doctor still isn't sure what is causing the pain so she referred me to either a surgeon for an MRI (I really don't want to take this route) or Physical Therapy in case its nerves. The baby looks fantastic, so as long as I know nothing is wrong with our little girl, I would rather just use heat, Tylenol and occasional massage to help with the constant pain. The joys of pregnancy...

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: See above. On a lighter note, we have her room painted and completely ready to be filled with all things baby!

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?: All the shopping, daycare, pediatrician... the list goes on.

Oh crap! I forgot daycare... which is probably my biggest stressor...

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: DH got to feel baby boy move this weekend! He was really kicking up a storm and DH got to feel it. It was great! My rant for the week is a pain I keep having... I guess in my vagina. Ugh, it hurts when I walk!

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?: everything? Lol get some outfits for him, find a pediatrician, research childcare... Lots to do, but I still have time.

Any upcoming appointments?: I have my next appt in about 3 weeks and the main thing happening will be my GTT.

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: Just trucking along--having lots of BH which is normal for me, though really irritating. We have a 9 hour car trip tomorrow and return on Sunday. My sore tailbone and bladder aren't looking forward to it

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?: I really want to buy a crib and have his nursery finished even though he probably won't be in there until 6+ months. We have done NOTHING in there so far.

Any upcoming appointments?: Expectant parent tour at a pediatrician's office tonight. Glucose test on 12/19.

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: The baby is kicking up a storm and I LOVE it. I am still feeling pretty good. Excited for our anniversary trip/babymoon to Hilton Head Island this weekend.

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?: Get the essentials---stroller, carseat, the basics and all the crap we registered for. Nursery is pretty much done which is awesome.

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: Feeling so good (finally!) that I am forgetting that I'm pregnant, whenever this kid isn't kicking up a storm that is. I have a very active child in there.

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?: We are in the process of having an addition put on our house, so we HAVE to get this finished so we can work on the nursery. Right now it's a disaster of framed walls without dry wall, carpet rolled back, holes in the ceiling. Complete mess. We also need to buy a single stroller (only have doubles), and a new crib (stupidly sold both of ours).

HELLO V-DAY!

What fruit/veggie/inanimate object?: Cantaloupe

Any upcoming appointments?: Tomorrow AM for 24 wk check + glucose test

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: Nothing TOO exciting - just trucking along. CANT believe it Thanksgiving weekend already. March will be here SO SOON and I have SO much to do!

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?: I have started stressing over all the things we need that we don't have yet. DH built the crib and redid the dresser we will also use as the changing table - but I feel like the things we will use RIGHT away we dont have - RNP, Pack N Play etc.

I had the worst sleep of my life last night, and I was late for work this morning.

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?:

Get the baby's room ready. We still have so much to do before he gets her. Paint, get the crib in the room, buy clothes, diapers, wipes.... Eeek. We are planning on doing this over Christmas break

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: I love feeling him kick and move around--it's not often and very dull sensation, but I enjoy it when I can! I'm becoming frustrated with this choosing a name thing. We did choose William, after my dad and Grampy, for his middle name though!

GTKY: What is something you must do before baby arrives?: Everything. Buy everything, set up the nursery, choose a pedi, chose a name... We're still going back and forth about cd-ing too (I want to, H doesn't). We have childcare all set, thank goodness!
